Beacon's Closet reviews
19Staff can be super rude, even worse than most thrift stores when looking through your sell pile which is saying a lot. Make snide remarks about “fast fashion” while searching info on the tags in their system because they don’t actually know what they’re looking at 85% of the time. Anything I’ve sold them was because I felt pressured after they’d made me feel embarrassed about most of the perfectly normal things I showed them
Find the staff at this location to be truly wonderful and welcoming. Smaller store in comparison to Greenpoint, but well stocked with a good selection of merchandise.
If you want to wait in line for 40min+ then go here. Very unprofessional to not have a time limit for people inside taking their time. Would not recommend
More expensive than urban jungle/l train, but the variety here and quality are really really good.only critique is the lack of size range outside of 0-4-if I was skinnier, I'd be able to spend a looooot more money here
Would love to give this place 5 stars but the staff here is rude. Every time I sell here my stuff is here it’s handed back me in a ball of clothes. Not folded. Just thrown in. I’ve worked retail.it literally takes 5 seconds to fold clothing. Just be a little more respectful of others.
Really fun and enjoyable shopping experience! Never really know what you're going to find. Most items are reasonably priced.
It's a clothing store catered to the new clientele (and renters) in the neighborhood. Don't look to sell your clothes here, someone will simply look over it and say "there's nothing we can buy from here" without really assessing anything.
Good thrift store but as other commenters have also said - it's not a great place to sell. The wait takes forever
Cute and good vibes, friendly staff and organized store, but infinitely frustrated that they don’t organized by size in addition to color! Makes it nearly impossible for us fat babes to shop for clothes here.
If only the staff were the least bit more friendly it would maybe make the sift through beacon's closet eclectic assortment of clothes worth it.if you plan to sell clothes, don't bother your time is more valuable.the staff (god's gift to bushwick by their own pretentious declaration) is what kills this potentially okay shopping experience
Please don't go here if you black they all got something against black people they Races but try th hide it but I could see it I had two good brand knew clothes bag.better conditions then the clothes they got in the store they said they couldn't take it
I love this store and the staff is wonderful, but the organization and lighting makes you feel a bit dazed and confused - I wish things were organized by size and shoes were actually accessible!
Quality products and clothes, shoes and other accessories were reasonably priced! They have what the customer needs and quick customer service.
I'm not sure why but they don't order clothing by size here, which makes it a real pain to find clothes that fit right.
Nothing cool about this place unless you're looking to buy some high end curtains to use as a skirt.
All of the staff at the store were really nice! There was an abundance of clothes from different brands, so I have lots to choose from both vintage and modern. Love Beacons Closet and will be returning soon!
Overpriced. $15 for a long-sleeve t-shirt that someone else wore for 20+ years? Label was also cut out. I'll go to Kmart. Vintage schmintage. It's just overpriced very used clothing. In the middle of nowhere in Brooklyn.
I love this store. Best Beacon’s Closet in the city. It’s smaller, but the curation is the best.
I don’t complain for buying some stuffs here.
Problem is for selling.
They say that they take stuffs at the highest rate 35% cash but turned out, they don’t take a lot of stuffs even if those are on season.
And also there is NO other shops buying items so I don’t recommend sell here.
They kinda take advantage of the location.
I’d rather go Manhattan 23rd st buffalo exchange cuz there are a few more shops buying items even if you can’t sell all of your items at one place.
