BedRock Preschool, Bronx NY

We've had our 2 year old daughter at BedRock for a year and have had a great experience. The teachers have been great and our daughter always comes home happy and excited about the day. The school just started doing in-person events again which is really nice to be able to come in and participate with the class.

We are so happy to be part of the BedRock Preschool family. The staff and teachers are warm and loving. The curriculum is engaging and stimulating to the kids. I cannot say enough good things about this school and I highly recommend this school to anyone.

BedRock is beyond amazing! I have no words to express how thankful I am to them for my daughter’s education, care and happiness. My daughter loves her teacher Ms. Kim who’s absolutely wonderful. She’s patient, kind, and loving towards my daughter (3K) and anyone who approaches her. BedRock’s classrooms are all named after one of my daughters favorite books “Brown Bear”. Her class for example is named the Red Bird class. I think it’s so unique of them to do. They use the app Tadpoles to provide parents with a daily summary of everything your child did throughout the day and share videos and photos on a daily basis. I highly recommend BedRock to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and well rounded school to attend and prepare your child for pre-K and kindergarten. Thank you always BedRock Preschool!

My husband and I have been very impressed with the quality and rigor of Bedrock Preschool’s program. We surely feel that we made the right choice for our son when we selected this program amongst many other schools we toured.

As very protective parents who were nervous about sending our son to preschool for the first time, the school’s administrators won us over very quickly and allayed all our fears! The admission process was outstanding and the transition period was a breeze. The school is a perfect blend of academics, socialization, and cultural appreciation. The school fosters independence, and creativity and also encourages exploration, discovery, and learning new things. The school provides a nurturing environment and they are protective of the kids.

For the short period our son has been there, my husband and I are amazed at his progress. He has developed very well socially and has developed an interest in reading and in music. He is always eager to help me with chores, cooking, and cleaning. He has become more creative, and adventurous. The school emphasizes self-discipline and respect toward others, which has truly been a heartening experience. We recommend this school with no reservations at all! My daughter has attended Bedrock the past 2 years! The teachers and staff are truly amazing. They are friendly, courteous and professional. I can tell that my daughter’s teacher truly cares for her. My daughter loves going to school and has come out of her shell. This is a wonderful school and highly recommended!

We love BedRock. My daughter started when she was 3 and recently graduated pre-k. Teachers are reliable, caring, and patient. We highly valued that part in BedRock. My girl have enjoyed at school.

Bedrock Preschool provided an amazing experience for both my children who previously attended 2K and 4K. We are grateful for the warm, nurturing, attentive care both kids received from loving, professional teachers and kind, hard working support staff. Both children made wonderful progress socially, emotionally, and academically from the expert care they received. (It was incredible to see how much they grew in a year with guidance from their teachers!) Bedrock creates an environment for children to thrive in as it is very child friendly (parent friendly too). We loved the enrichment options including yoga, music, piano, and soccer lessons. We also loved the healthy food service which helped to expand our picky eater's food palates, learning to eat with greater diversity. The classrooms all had natural sunlight, were well organized, and filled with a variety of hands-on learning materials. We utilized the early morning drop-off option (7: 30 AM) which was very helpful. The teachers were responsive to our children and provided thoughtful feedback. We really appreciated the time and care they put into connecting with our family. All staff did an excellent job navigating through the pandemic and giving our children a wonderful experience. Both my children came home each day with a big smile, stories of the fun had with friends, and new learning discoveries. Thank you Bedrock for all that you do, helping children and families! We highly recommend Bedrock for its high quality programming and warm, nurturing, and loving staff. Best choice we made!

I highly recommend Bedrock Preschool. My son has been attending this school since he was 5 months old. The teachers are the most warm and friendly teachers. My son has really felt loved and well taken care of. For a two year old he has learned so much. He comes home and I’m in awe of what he’s learned. Bedrock is also extremely organized and they do fun activities with the kids.

When I drop off my son I feel like he’s in the best possible hands everyday. It’s a wonderful place!

We absolutely love it. Our son started at 13 months and is still there now at 2.5yrs old. They are attentive and caring with him. I wouldn't want to take him anywhere else. I do wish there was a better outdoor space but i think that's just a product of being in a brand new facility and residential building as oppose to a stand-alone daycare house that has a back yard.

We enroll our kid at this school because of the good reviews on Google. After two months into this school year, I have nothing good to report. Many teachers are leaving the school or have left. The teachers our friends' kids had are no longer working there. I think it tells something about the school. New teachers are not experienced and there are always new faces. One teacher is particularly rude and impatient. My kid says she yells at kids a lot. When I ask the name of the teacher, my kid says she is not a teacher. She is in the class sometimes. Then what is she doing in the class yelling at kids? Many times what my kid tells me about the day and what I was told by the teacher (maybe?) are different. My kid says kids fight and run around but there is only one teacher. I don't want to say that teachers there lie to me but my kid is old enough to tell us about the day. Messages left at the office are not returned on the same day. No one answered the phone. The woman who owns the school never shows her face during the drop off or dismissal. She never bothers to greet parents once after the school started. The photos the school sent show they play with the same few toys days after days. There are not many high quality projects and learning going on. The only reason that keeps us in the school is it is free. As soon as there is a spot at another school, we are leaving. A word of advice for all parents looking for a PreK program - go to a public school or a more established private school or a catholic school. A school like this one lacks of accountabilities and it shows.
