Beekman Square Diner, Poughquag NY

Staff seems to be nice but not very efficient. Seems unfamiliar with menu. And prices don't match what is posted.this second time to go order wasn't right. Won't return for a 3rd encounter!

Food is always good, served with a smile. Had the sausage tortellini soup, delicious as always. Tuna melt was huge and filling, made 2 meals for me. Parking is great. Only issue is that they seat people close together and if you're of larger stature it's not always comfortable.

This diner is first class. Good food, friendly service and consistent quality. My favorite is the french dip sandwich, but everything is good. Because the place is near to our house, only 10 minutes, it makes it convenient, but there are many eateries nearby and they are not as good. I like the place as it is clean and the staff is always in a good mood.

We enjoy both coming here and picking up. Personally, I'm a dine-in person, as I never really like picking the food up and it gets soggy or something while it waits or during the drive. That aside, the staff are always friendly, but we waited a bit too long for our food on the last visit. I'm not sure if it was because the patrons after us ordered simpler dinners or what, but that would be my minus 1 star for my last visit.

Meat loaf, Yankee pot roast and french onion soup. The perfect comfort food to have on a lunch menu. The friendly staff are always willing to go the extra mile. Casey, table 17 says thank you.

Although this establishment looked closed as the parking lot was empty & no lights could be seen when parked in front of the building… it was a great choice for lunch. Lots to choose from & staff very friendly & accommodating! Our waitress knew we were splitting the sandwich & brought it out on two separate plates! Pastrami Ruben was super & the Nachos Supreme was okay (a little over done for my liking). Large portion & fair pricing here!

Great service by Evan who was our waiter. He was attive and thoughtful. The food was great as well as dessert. Will recommend to friends and family.

Flies were everywhere, a gentleman next to us fished out what looked like a large tuft of hair from his soup. Food was bland and soup was lukewarm. Water has a odd film in it also and my family had stomach aches that night. Also expensive! Only come here if you have to. Fries and burger was good.

We where there Saturday and Sunday mornings. Pancakes were light and fluffy. The waffles were crisp on the outside, soft inside. Bacon was crispy. Over medium eggs were cooked spot on. The oatmeal was creamy and came with several add ins. Service was excellent both days!

Really nice diner that is not crowded like other diners. Enjoy that they have various diner "signature food" like the Blackened Chicken Alfredo.its the BEST! Always enjoy eating here and frequently!

Sorry to say prices have gone up, portion smaller (get same thing when there), and was undercooked tonight. Mac and cheese.

Got chocolate chip pancakes and eggs, the food was great and came our pretty quick. And the service was lovely! Definitely recommended. Reasonably priced for the portion sizes as well.

We had a party of 13 people on a Saturday. Super service, food, portions, prices and all around fabulous! Everything came out perfect and in a timely manner. They worked their butts off. They were so great that you would never know that they were taking care of so many people at once! They really added to our family get together!

Beekman Square diner was the perfect spot for our breakfast. The food is delicious, the service is fast and the price is right.

This is such a fantastic, non crowded diner tucked away out of the mainstream craziness. The food is always on par as well as the staff! Very friendly, very clean. Definitely a 5 star place! So glad I am a local to this place

We had lunch, staff was very friendly and the portions were very good. The prices were a little high, but the food was delicious.

Would give it 5 stars but the blonde haired waitress was snobby thought she was God's gift. As it were an inconvenience to be doing her job. If you don't like your job, find a new one.
We Didn't get a refill on any drinks. Came twice to our table first to take our order then to bring the food and drinks. I ordered French Onion soup. My wife and son got there's before dinner. I got mine with dinner. Go figure. Never asked if we needed anything, nothing. Did not like her at all!

Day shift waitress is the best. If you go in the evening get a different waitress.

Food is ok nothing to brag about. I have gone a few times to try orange juice and milk are room temperature, eggs (over cooked every time. Scrambled, over easy, poached, soft boiled), soup (room temperature to cool), burgers (dry on 4 occasions they dont cook to order), waitress don't make sure order is as requested (4 times items were missing), coffee is lacking flavor, sauce on chicken Parm resembles school lunch sauce, spanakopita is reheated in microwave even if you ask to be heated in oven this process makes it soggy & chewy

Just tried this place last week with my family and honestly I wish I had known about this place sooner. We enjoyed our meals so much and the server was so lovely, she wasn't overbearing and checked on us just the right amount and she knew her stuff Bec we didn't want for anything. She brought all of the sides that we asked for when ordering and didn't forget a thing. If u haven't checked this place out, do ur self a favor and give them a try. Their menu is huge so there's enough for anybody's appetite. We are going to make them a weekly thing.
