Belleayre Mountain Ski Center reviews
21This is our family’s favorite ski place! The staffs are always friendly and helpful. The mountain offers trails for all different skill level. The instructors are one of the best in the area! We went during covid pandemic and they maintain facilities very well. We felt very safe!
After a great day of skiing on superfine snow and great lift service I made the mistake of skiing down the lower mountain at the end of the day to find the lifts were closed.i needed to get back to the Overlook lodge where my car was parked. There was no shuttle service. Special thanks to JR and the parking lot personal for coordinating and giving me a ride back to the lodge. Also for opening the lodge so I could pick up my bag so I did not have to drive home in my ski boots or bare feet.
Was coming here for years. And I’m done with this place. They don’t care about customer satisfaction. On a way there got into accident. Called them up next day so can exchange for another time BUT was got a cold reply saying that should’ve called yesterday. I understand that it’s pandemic and tickets are limited BUT it was Tuesday (always chill there) AND other resorts like Hunter give you refund if you can’t make it. So shame on you Belleayre. You lost few customers.
Great conditions today but because of wind no gondola. Then the other chairlift broke down for almost half hour. Too much time wasted waiting for a chair to get up the mountain today!
Fast pace trails, decent park obstacles and jumps to build up your skills. As a snowboarder, it sucks when you get top the Gondola lift. Its a bit of a walk to get to certain trails because of flat zones.
Regardless, always a good time here!
Been here a few times and I've always really enjoyed myself. If you're in the the NY/NJ/PA area it's probably the closest really solid place, that I have been to anyways
I was fairly disappointed with the trails here. Almost everything was open but taking the main lift up, if you want to do any side trails you need to go across a lot of flat zones. One friend with a rental had to walk most the way. My freshly waxed board allowed me to almost make it with walking. Not great to have to do every time.
Super nice place to ski for all ages, they have differents mountaints for every level. They do lessons for beginners, there's a place where they sale food and also they have differents rental stores for the ski equipment.
Very good skiing and the Covid-19 rules were respectfully enforced. Not too crowded and the staff was great. It was a great experience.
I saw some reviews saying the hill was not steep. I challenge all these folk to ski the Cathedral. It’s a bit of a hike. This was my first time here very impressed. Gotta earn your turns here but the snow on the upper 1/2 was insane. If anyone is heading there soon you need to do this trail. The hike will pay off just keep going.
All the reviews mentioning rude staff are sadly true despite being them fortunate enough to rake in business during the pandemic. Emergency or car breakdown on the way up? You will be SOL because they will not exchange your unused ticket for another day. Disappointed and won’t be returning anytime soon.
Bellayre did a nice job on the slopes and the place was fairly clean with lots of hand sanitizer stations. Most people wore masks, a few did not. The only problem was on the lift lines. The only ones who adhered to the 6 foot rule was my husband and I. There were signs up, but people stood about 2 feet apart. Staff saw but did nothing.
Belle might be the best slope in the Catskills. Its not a resort destination with a base village like Windham or Killington, but it's a great mid sized, day trip destination.
The terrain is varied and their snow is good.
My personal favorite for a day trip from NYC.
Great day of skiing. Lots of good slopes, although the green runs are almost a little too flat to the point that you end up pushing with your poles.
Love it! Great Mountain, conditions were amazing, POWDER! Multi level trails & a GONDOLA! What more could you ask for?
Lift tix $$ are great too! Check it out!
Recent improvements-the new gondola and beautiful new Discovery lodge-have made my last few visits great. And the staff is excellent!
Great little mountain. Wasn't too packed. Wish the terrain park was bigger though. Beware the more advanced trails will be closed if there isn't a huge snow base.
Decent resort for a smaller east coast mountain. I like the multiple lodges as to not have to get back down to main base for restroom. Blue trails are more like difficult greens, so that's nice for novice and beginners. Guest service is very helpful.
Great place but we aware they do not allow you to drop off your gear at the lodge any more. Unless you want to pay a $20 fee to be able to pull up to the lodge. Not a problem for adults, but if you have children, you may want to go to a different ski mountain!
Great terrain choices. Still snowmaking in March. Would have given 5 stars except they did not run the Tomahawk lift or gondola. Instead ran #7. So no Dot Nebel access.
During the day I asked why to 4 different employees from different departments. Each said the same thing. Poor management. They were also kind of grumpy.
