If you are grateful for a place to stay where you aren't worried about being in people's spaces and you are safe.then you will have a great experience. I find the social services staff are very supportive. They went above and beyond that anyone could have expected; throwing parties well thT was a graduation ceremony for a well put together developmental workshop for parents.
There is a cleaning staff that works very hard daily, the security will assist with your groceries and other oversized bags. Overall they are very respectful. I pray God blesses them in their own personal affairs as they do their jobs to take care of the less fortunate. Overall I'm very honored to have these people support me and my family.
Downside I did encounter rodents but this is new york. While the place is kept clean generally you don't know who is in the room next to you remember people are hurting, mentally unstable, battling life in general so you can share space with people who do not necessarily know how to maintain a stable and clean environment. New York full mad people. So just get ur stuff and clean your room.

Stop saying that it is a bad place because it is not like that, I was terrified seeing the comments and when I arrived it was a totally different experience, they are very kind, they kept new sheets, new bathroom curtains, two clean towels and everything was very nice and clean above all the units are like a studio they have two beds and a small kitchen with stove and small fridge, a bathroom also all clean and in good condition and a table with two chairs, there is a park for children and Loundry, activity center! Despite the bad time you are going through, these people there make you feel at home which makes the bad time more bearable!

The worst nightmare of an immigrant with American children, single mother, a lot of discrimination

LMFAOOO This is the worst shelter facility. The facility is dirty and they could careless about your well being. The staffs are barely here and the only people who are helpful is maintenance.

Absolutely the worst shelter I've ever been placed in. Need to be written up by DHS. When I got to this shelter the unit was super gross and dirty. I can tell the bathroom had loose hair laying around and that they didn't wash the bath tiles. The bathtub had grease on the bottom that hadn't been removed. There was mold by the sides of the toilet bottom and hair on the outside of the door. There was a dead roach in the fridge and other fridge stains. Also, the sink hadn't been clean and neither were the cabinets. Needs to be exterminated there was ants on the premises. Otherwise very lovely.

Just got placed here and while the night staff are welcoming, morning staff always seems to have an attitude. Upon arrival the room was NOT CLEAN, they have reused sheets without any washes prior. I’ve found toenail clippings, used toothpicks and smoking products while cleaning on my arrival. I couldn’t possibly sleep until I cleaned up the room to my satisfaction. There’s roaches everywhere and honestly hoping they don’t crawl on me and my partner at night. We’ve had the exterminator come in after the fact that someone new is living under the provided room (me+partner) on the next day. It honestly doesn’t make sense to wait until someone arrives to then get rid of roaches and other bugs.
