I give it this due to my own reasons. My experience at first was great, then ended terribly. Employees are amazing though!

Not a good experience. I’ve been there two times and got under weighed both times. The Mexicans speak Spanish and weigh your stuff twice which is interesting. Thought they were worth a try because they claim to have the best prices which may be true. That being said they don’t have honest scales and employees.

Check prices before you go here and if you do, communicate with the precious metals person weighing your stuff up. They’ll tell you to throw everything on the scale at once and give you lower range value. Ultimately they claim to pay highest prices but in fact others locally will pay you more for precious. In a time where pennies count, get more all around by avoiding this place. Scale house is slow and moody. Thank me later.

Thought we were getting ripped off here, so before going today with a very small amount just to test it, we weighed it. 36.7 pounds. Guess what weight at scrap yard was? 10pounds. They rob you, go elsewhere.empire scrap in Albany pays you for what you have, the staff is friendly and you won’t leave needing a patch for your tire.

Great place.staff was great and helpful. I had a bunch of questions and they were all answered. Recommend this place. Easy to get to, to do and easy to get out. The process is simple, quick and easy.

Its my oppinion that having two prices for scrap cars is wrong. Im selling you cars as scrap based on their weight, not for what they have attached.

Prob one of the cleanest yard ive ever been to people there are professional in and out in just a few minutes graet place highly recommended

My fiance went here to recycle some metal. Every worker there harrassed her and made inappropriate remarks to her. To top it off, the laborers asked why she couldn't get the metal out of her vehicle herself. When she told them she had just had surgery, they laughed about it. Guess they scraped the bottom of the barrel for these particular employees, because that is not how you treat any customer.

This place is terrible! From the employees to how they screw you on your scrap prices.

Call to find out if there were and got told yes just to load up night before and make the 35 min or more drive next day to find they are not open

Favorite Scrap yard in Albany. Very easy system they have set up. Staff is very friendly. Yard is pretty much always very clean.

Excellent customer service! First time there, had lots of different types of metals/scrap and "Courtney" at the main gate/scale was VERY helpful, professional and courteous. The facility was very organized, clean and all the staff I encountered were very polite and helpful! Nice to see in this industry.

First time I went was good. Easy on a Saturday at noon. But god forbid you show up at 629 on a Thursday. Mexicans throwing their phone in your face sayin we closed

I brought my vehicle to scrap. I received more than i thought i would but the vehicle that i was to ride back in ran out of gas in the yard. They gave me a ride to get gas and would not accept any money. They were extremely nice.

Very helpful, very nice people, but in general very professional and convenient advice, very happy and will continue my business with them.

I have been there early on both Saturdays and Sundays. Yard is always as neat as a pin, guys in scale house and the "Metal Shop" were very helpful. In and out with cash in hand in 15 minutes. Cleanest scrap recycling place I have ever been to.

Great prices fast friendly service and they are open on Sunday. Who could ask for more? Five stars.
