Indian Restaurant Benares reviews
16I had an amazing dining experience at the restaurant! The ambiance was delightful, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying their Navrathan Kurma and Matar Panner – you won't be disappointed!
Benares has the best Tikka Masala in all of New York! The service was excellent and the food/experience felt authentic!
My experience at Benares with my family was amazing! Harish was our server. Very knowledgeable of the menu, and very good energy. I would recommend everybody comes here to eat at least once in their lifetime!
Extremely rude service. Do not recommend at all. Drinks only consisted of ice, takes too long to serve food. The person serving Constantly makes terrible jokes and will make you feel uncomfortable with his statements. Never had such an experience here in any of the restaurants.
When i visited inside hotel they suddenly asked me” how can i help you! ” Rudely.
There food are overpriced…!
Also, there waiters ask to give tips as if i owes me …!
If you are in good mood then
Don’t come here to ruin your mood!
Been here a few times during lunch with my colleagues. A reliable option for consistently good food in the area. Highly recommend.
Food is really really good and serves some of the best North Indian food in New York metro area, not just Manhattan. The staff is really friendly and the service is excellent. Tried kadhai paneer, bread basket, kachori chaat, papdi chaat, methi chicken, and rasmalai. Papdi chaat was especially very flavorful. Will come back later to try other items in menu.
Good food, nice environment and service, but the food portion is small for the price you pay.
You cant go wrong with this restaurant. It is a decent value proposition for a NYC restaurant. It checks all the boxes for the right price. The ambience of a sit down restaurant, service ws quick, food was good.sufficient vegetarian choices. Spice level was under control without it losing the authenticity,
These Indian are rude and food there are overpriced. It better no to go there. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Had vegetarian food. They had many options for appetizers and main course and also had quite good quantity. The service could have been been fast and better
OMG! The best INDIAN food. Totally mind blowing. And this is coming from an Indian. The service was amazing.
My friend is from India and this is our favorite Indian restaurant in all of Manhattan. The food is very authentic, well-spiced, and delicious. I love their aloo tikki, shahi paneer, and kulfi in particular. The staff is incredibly friendly as well.
I personally don’t understand some of the other negative reviews I’ve seen on here, and I wouldn’t listen to them if I were you. They don’t reflect my experiences in the slightest. I’ve done lots of hunting around NYC for good Indian and so far Benares is the best veg-friendly option I’ve had! Keep it up!
Service was outstanding! The food was delicious and the waitstaff were attentive and kind. Would love to come back the next time my family visits NYC
Benares is an awesome place for food. The food, anything you order, I bet is going to be very tasty and delicious and you will enjoy it for sure. Mr. Harish is a nice person, always smiling and taking good care of customers. His food recommendation was the best part. Highly recommend!
A wonderful neighborhood go-to for high quality Indian cuisine. We’ve ordered take out and delivery for years, including through the pandemic. Today we finally went in person and it was even better!
Great recommendations from the staff (especially Ramitha!) who helped us discover some new favorites (baingan bharta). Old favorites like shrimp goan curry and lamb korma are well executed - flavorful and satisfying, without being drowned in cream and butter.
Can’t wait to go back!
