Benjamin Steakhouse, New York NY

I was introduced to this place by a travel tour guide, but it was not what I expected.
At another steakhouse in the same price range that I visited a few days ago, the customer service was more attentive and calm, and the food was delicious.
I thought it was a high-class store, but since the first and second floors are open-air, the customers' voices could be heard and it was noisy. It's not an atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy your meal, and it doesn't have a luxurious feel.
Even though I had made a reservation, I was not shown to my seat right away and had to stand and wait for about 5 minutes.
The guide recommended that the taste of the meat would be consistent no matter when we went, but neither the meat nor the lobster were delicious enough to impress me, so I was disappointed as I wondered if this is how it usually tastes.

This was my partners and I second time back. We celebrated our anniversary here. All staff members were attentive and contributed to a positive warm experience. Anila was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal! She had a wonderful presence and an amazing vibe. Highly recommend her, and will request her again!

Food was amazing like last time. Personally, it’s probably one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had. I had the NY sirloin, cooked medium rare. Absolutely juicy and tender. Mashed potatoes were light and fluffy, and the creamless spinach still tasted creamy.

Have been coming here for years now and have never had a bad experience at Benjamin’s. Recently was here for the restaurant week special and had another fantastic meal. The service at the bar with G is always top notch. By far my favorite steakhouse in the city.

Steak was beautifully cooked and season. Definitely go here if you want a good piece of steak

We were really excited for our first NY steakhouse experience. My partner ordered the ribeye and it was served luke-warm. We also got sat in an area away from everyone else and by the bussing area. Usually, I wouldn’t mind, but the employees were really loud with plates and throwing things around. Our table was against a wood wall and the employees would run into it and shake our table. I also saw employees touching the rolls with their hands. Just not the level you would expect for a high-end steakhouse. The food was good quality though, so I wish we didn’t have this experience.

Benjamin steakhouse is my 2nd home Johnny the manager an his staff always treat me & whomever I’m with like family. Had 2 visits a week from each an each time the food a service gets better, popped in today just to say hi an i ended up having dinner. You come for the food but you stay for the impeccable service. Benjamin’s Steakhouse is always #1 in book

Me and my husband had a date night yesterday. Before getting seated at the table and before leaving, we had some drinks at the bar where both of us noticed how bartender Julia was extremely flirtatious, ignorant, and unprofessional towards me and my husband. Food and drink was delicious, but that kind of attention was just simply way out of the line

When I tell you, my husband enjoyed his birthday dinner at this delightful establishment! When I tell you, we feel like we were VIPs, , it's true! We had a waitstaff of 5 to 6 people who were taking care of us and they did a phenomenal job! They were very attentive and just really catered to us, and every one of our needs!

The food, oh my goodness, that food was so good! We are on a search for good steakhouses, and though we don't live in New York, that is our thing whenever we travel, and Benjamin's did not fail us one single bit! This is definitely going to be a staple whenever we're back in NYC! Also, the restaurant was so beautiful and cozy and nicely decorated. It was really a great experience!

The food tasted really good, but the price was outrageous.
It's a dish worth eating at least once in New York.
Spinach cream on the side? I ordered it extra, but it doesn't seem necessary. I saw it on a blog and ordered it, but it felt a little weird. I think it would be perfect to just eat with green salad and steak.

This place is sooo amazing and the service we got from FRANK was awesome he took care of us it was my birthday and he sang happy birthday I love it thanks frank for the great service

The dishes are exquisite, they have an extraordinary flavor. It is very visited by artists, sports stars and very famous actors.you may possibly find one of them. The prices are very affordable but you should ask carefully for those who say MP because they can give you a good scare like the For the lobster it says 25 and at the top they say MP which means that it will depend on the price that the business owner bought it for, for me two dishes cost me 289 dollars out of 25 that they say on the menu. Otherwise, the atmosphere is perfect to take your girlfriend or wife to celebrate their wedding anniversary with you.

My number one steakhouse in the city. Consistent service, food, and atmosphere. Great to take friends or clients who are visiting the city! The porterhouse steaks (Steak for 2) are a must. The hot fudge sundae is delightful. Not sure how they make the whip cream, but it’s the best!

Food - fantastic! Service - it’s beyond fantastic. All the little details of a fine dining experience are right here. We will be back.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Benjamin Steakhouse. We ordered the Benjamin Salad for 2 and the Tomahawk steak with a side of mushrooms. The salad comes with huge chunks of delicious crab that paired perfectly with our Bravium Russian River Chardonnay. (I appreciate that the restaurant offers a wide range of wines at different price points.) The Tomahawk was grilled just the way we asked: medium-rare for my husband and medium for me. I loved that they accommodated both of us! We brought our own Arietta Cabernet Sauvignon wine that was so delicious with the juicy steak. Lenny and his team took great care of us all night. They even brought my husband a crème brûlée for his birthday! Excellent service from when we arrived to when we left full and happy.

Vedat provided us great service and really made the experience that more enjoyable! Plus the food and drinks were great

This place is hands down one of the best steakhouses. Every time we go, the food is just amazing. We had some porterhouses and a tomahawk, all cooked perfectly medium rare. The taste and texture were better than we could've hoped for. And don't get me started on the appetizers – lobster Mac and cheese, mushrooms, asparagus, peppers, clams, shrimp – they were all delicious.

We visited on a week night and the restaurant was very busy, we had to wait for a bit even with reservations. Vibrant and family/ group dinner atmostphere which means it can be quite loud to hear each other sometimes. Very attentive staff. My medium rare rib eye steak was huge, buttery soft and juicy - I love it! The portion is huge and you pay accordingly for all of the above but I find that worthy.
