Besito Mexican Restaurant - Roslyn NY reviews
19I heard about this place and decided to try it for lunch. It was amazing. I had the sweet potato tacos with roasted corn and pumpkin seeds. It was well seasoned (not too salty), and the vinaigrette was super. The meal came with three tacos, container of well prepared rice, a side of black beans, and a side of salsa. Some of the best tacos I've ever had. It was about $21 for lunch. A bit pricey for lunch, but treat yourself sometimes. I highly recommend this place.
I've been here many times but this was the first time I brought my son here and he loved it. Food and service is always excellent.
So amazing! You must get the guac which is the freshest I've ever had. The enchilada mixtas was just the right enough amount of kick and a ton of flavor (though the skirt steak in it was pretty tough if I'm being picky) and they brought a dessert churro with a candle for my birthday. We talked for hours without anyone rushing us. The coffee options were not great.no espresso at a Mexican upscale restaurant it's also very pricy but I hear happy hour is a good option. Totally worth the money! Go out of your way to eat here. Double check they brought you the right bill though! We got the wrong one twice.
It was a great experience. We came outside standard meal times and had great service (I've been there during dinner time, and it wasn't as timely).
The food is excellent
This place fell off hard. Food was horrible I had food truck Mexican 10 times better paid tip dollar for junk!
Great place with indoor and outdoor seating. Very busy dinner time. The menu comes with many choices of appetizers, main courses, mock tales, and other alcoholic beverages. It's not great on deserts. Nice place to take out family or good friends.dinners Not the best time to bring kids. Food presentation is beautiful and tasted just as good. However, service would've been A+, but the waiters were too quick in picking up our plates from our table while we were still eating and sometimes without asking while there was still food on the plate. Many times, I found myself and my guests trying to quickly finish our plates before they got snatched away! For the money you spend and sophistication you see via the staff.we were taken aback by the need and quickness of the waiters to empty our tables. It was almost insulting. Imagine eating and being asked "can I take this plate? ". I don't know why such treatment.we weren't loud or anything whilst sitting outside seating. The waiters we had were very knowledgeable and accommodating with any changes to our orders, but they really messed it up by grabbing our plates just like soo.
The service was good, the restaurant is nice, on the fancy side (white table cloth style) and a bit pricy. Good service and clean restaurant!
The Salsa with the tortillas was really good. We had Guacamole served in a Molcajete (too expensive for what it is, I would pass next time), fish tacos were good, chicken iron skillet was good.
It is good restaurant, but overall a bit too expensive.
Large Mexican with indoor and outdoor eating spaces. Typical Mexican dishes. Indoors can be pretty noisy and cramped.
Good choice of drinks and dishes. Service was prompt. Reservations not required on week days. As every post pandemic fallouts the prices are up and unlikely to come down.
We came here for our anniversary lunch. Very nice vibe for outdoor dining. Inside was very busy. Food and service were great but Tres Leches takes the cake, no pun intended!
This is consistently the best Mexican cuisine around. Fast service, excellent sangrias, and just tried their Orange Flan (made with lime zest, orange sauce, and whipped cream with walnut topping) - amazing!
A magnificent experience, eating in this place, a lot of flavor, good portions, and good service. Our waiter (Giovanny) was very professional and attentive to us, he explained every detail of the menu to us. I was really surprised and very happy, not only me, but also my other friends.and our bartender (Anthony) very good cocktails thank you very much.we will really be back.
I’ve been here a few times, that should tell you everything about this place. Food is tasteful, the guacamole and fish tacos are some of my favorite menu choices, they always play good music and the service is top. I do recommend making reservations if you don’t want to wait an hour for a table, I’ve done it, but it’s worth the wait!
Pretty over priced food for what you get, but its generally pretty good. The drinks were delicious.
We had steak, carne asada tacos, fundito appetizer, churros and tres leches.
The service was really good and they had an outdoor dog friendly space.
Liked the place but the a/c was not working properly! Was with a group of 20+ and it was uncomfortable for the dinner! Been there before & the food is good.
I was visiting my sister and bro-in-law in Port Washington this past weekend and they suggested we try Besito in Roslyn which is only about 12 minutes from their house. I had never been to this restaurant and am so glad that we went. The menu, although not as expansive as your typical Mexican restaurant, had a nice variety of offerings. The Queso Fundido was one of the best appetizers I have ever had! I don't often take the time to post reviews, but I felt this restaurant deserved one, specifically to rave about Giovani, the server we were lucky to have that night. I live in Manhattan and go out to dinner quite often and I must say that this waiter was one of the best-a true genius at his craft. He articulated the Specials for the evening in a poised manner and mentioned the price of each entrée which was an added bonus for the diners to not have to endure the awkwardness of asking the price. Giovani was "on top" of it all and very attentive without being obnoxiously annoying like some wait staff can often be.
I cannot wait to visit this restaurant again in the near future and will definitely ask to be seated at Giovani's table.
What a wonderful restaurant-I highly recommend it!
I arrived here at 10: 20 on a Wednesday night after working a long day just to have one drink at the bar on my birthday. I sat down at the bar. Nobody greeted me or said hello. I got given dirty looks instead by a worker sitting down and the bartender and very politely asked the bar tender if I had time for one drink. He looked at me frustrated and told me no. I said Google says you guys are open to 11? He told me sometimes they close early. The music is blasting and people are inside the restaurant eating. I've gone to besito for years and will not be going back after todays encounter. If you guys want to get home on time that's great. It would not have taken me 40 minutes to drink one drink. I politely said I had just driven 20 minutes to get there and he just looked at me. I left and I've been sitting outside in my car for 20 minutes- music is still going and they aren't closing early. Somebody needs to acknowledge this because that level of service at Besito is unacceptable. I could've Drank three drinks in the time I've been sitting here! You have a Bar tender turning away business in an already hard time for most businesses. Most people can't even afford to go out for a drink anymore and this guys making once special place to me look awful.
Overall good dinner however at times the service can be a bit off.nothing horrible but not perfect. The guacamole is great. I need like 100 worry dolls. Lol
The food was ok nothing that spectacular. This food is not authentic cuisine. I have tasted better Mexican food than this restaurant. The service was good, the food a little pricey for the amount served. Would I go back? Not really.
The best place in Roslyn. It's warm, friendly, and delicious. The food never disappoints. The staff is always cordial and helpful. The drinks always hit the spot. And, it's more reasonable than most other Roslyn restaurants.
