Best Western Plus The Inn & Suites At The Falls, Poughkeepsie NY

We have been here visiting friends and the location was the most important for us.
We did not enjoy the quality of the breakfast. The nice breakfast room was under construction, they have only Nestle brand instant coffee which I dislike because of the taste and the terrible invasive company policies like use genetic manipulated food whenever possible. Bagels tasted dry and stale. Only fruit was apple and oranges. No bananas or precut fruit. They have only paper dishes and plastic silverware and paper cups. For environmental reasons and for comfort I would prefer real dishes and silverware. Waffles tasted like paper compared to what we had in other Hotels during our trip.
We ended up bringing our own breakfast.
Very positive was the very quiet air conditioning, they seem to be pretty new.
The Hotel is very close to a creek which also used to have falls but they are almost gone. There is no outside seating at the creek side even if that would be very nice if we could have sat outside for breakfast. The first room they offered was faced directly to the street which was very noisy while traffic was going by. We stayed here at first one day and after 2 weeks again 4 days, we had minimal contact with staff and the experience was mixed.
We might use this hotel again mainly due to the location which is convenient for our purpose.

Kind of dated. However, the room was clean and the front desk service was fantastic. It was basic, but it met my needs. Location was perfect for what I needed.

Tucked away from it all.big spacious rooms. Could use an update but not complaining! Comfortable bed and nice view of the river.

Would definitely stay here again. A little gem in an area with limited hotel options. Service was very friendly, free breakfast, and the hotel is charming. We had a waterview room which was nice. I wish we'd had window screens so that we could leave the windows open and listen to the water. The room was adequate, though a little tired. The shower insert had a squishy bottom because of a poor installation and our towel bar was missing. The room was also pretty small, probably because of the age of the room. These were all things I was willing to overlook, because the hotel was clean, safe, and did not have an unpleasant smell. We booked this after cancelling reservations at a nearby hotel because of poor reviews there, and I think we made the right choice. This was also one of the less expensive options when we booked, so especially given the price we were happy with it.

Just spent the night here and would highly recommend it.
Such a neat place to stay. Beautiful, quiet area, helpful and friendly staff.
I slept great, it's a very nice place, with clean rooms & bathrooms, too.

Nice breakfast selections too, a little something, for everyone.
Great view of the river/falls, also.
Would be gorgeou in the spring/summer.for sure.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. It is beautifully located 3 miles off the main thoroughfare Route 9 in the majestic Hudson Vally, New York. There are only two levels throughout the hotel.
There is a small elevator and the lobby is tight. There is a good sized area right off the lobby for breakfast and lounging. For breakfast, they offer eggs, bacon waffles, cold cereal pastries, juice and coffee. The rooms are a decent size, bright, sunny and clean. It looks like the carpeting was replaced recently. The bed was comfortable. Not too hard, not too soft. As with most hotel, the pillows ae too soft to my liking. The bath towels are not very soft. Free WIFI is offered. There is also an excersise room available. There is a fast moving steam right behind the hotel with small waterfalls hence the name "At the Falls".
There is ample parking. However, the parking lot could use better lighting at night. The hotel grounds are beautiful and serene in beautiful country setting.
Plenty of restaurants and stores located minutes from the hotel on Route 9.

Cute place. Nothing fancy. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate. I think it was over priced personally. Would I stay again? Sure.

DO NOT STAY HERE. It looks beautiful on the outside however it’s absolutely disgusting on the inside. My “suite” smelled awful & there was mold in the showers and around the bathtub.

Rooms were very clean, decent, good for the price, breakfast was continental, assortment of muffins, eggs, fruit, etc.

Worst possible hotel. The price is not worth the stay. Dirty room. Clogged shower drain. Bed had either dirt or sand in it, not sure, but definitely something. Breakfast was mediocre. Milk was expired by at least 3 weeks. Stay somewhere else. Photos do NOT match the actual place. Arrived to the hotel about 30 minutes prior to 3pm and was told we couldn't be checked in till 3pm. I mean, 2 hours early, ok, but 30 minutes?

Checked in and my room was filthy. I have short curly brown hair and my bf has straight short brown hair. There was long ginger-brown hair in the tub and on the table. We were too tired to even complain. And the tub was visibly very dirty

Soon as I called to book a room the lady at the front desk was very well mannered and polite, she found me a room that was suitable and convenient while staying in town I give this hotel a thumbs up. The room was very clean and neat will definitely be visiting again while in town ️
