Best Western Syracuse Downtown Hotel And Suites

Wow- Best Western has gotten a bad reputation in the last 10 years or so, this location breaks that mold! This is hands down the BESTBest Western we have ever stayed at. The location was excellent, inside was VERY clean, rooms were updated and tidy and hotel team was friendly and accommodating. We spoke with Holly at our check in and you can tell she genuinely cares about guests and takes pride in her job. The gym was nice and had clean and new work out gear, with water and TVs. If you’re booking a stay in Syracuse I 100% recommend this hotel.

Mia at the front desk was so helpful, especially getting milk for my 6 year old son late night on our trip.

Overall very good hotel, my family loved the kitchenette. They could work on labeling the breakfast better because my daughter ate pork without knowing, there’s also very limited options for breakfast. I recommend the waffles at breakfast though!

First off, I want to applaud the staff this morning. I did not get their names and I wish I did. The girl at the front desk and the cleaning staff that was there with here this morning went above and beyond. They were so friendly and making jokes with our kids, even gave a small rubber duckie to our kids that really made their day, and ours. BIG THANK YOU TO THEM!

The rooms were great, clean, spacious. Location seemed safe too! Would stay there again! Great hotel, walking distance to dinosaur bbq! Yum!

Good location. But it gets very loud during the weekends. You will hear everything outside.
Rooms are good. Only 1 elevator for entire building

It is situated in a good location which is walking distance to most places. The rooms were good but no room service for short term guests. There were few inoperative machines that needed to be changed upon our immediate arrival to the room. Breakfast was included and had a good variety. Just one elevator makes it a little time consuming to go up and down. Rooms were not properly checked before checking guests in. Overall the experience was more like an Inn.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I was appalled that they charged daily for parking when you are a guest in their hotel. I mean, this hotel in is Syracuse, not NYC! Not only did they charge daily for parking, they also charged sales tax on the parking charge. Horrible customer service that basically said, Sorry. That's how we operate"! Will absolutely never book at a Best Western again!

This isn’t a pun but this is the Best, Best Western I’ve ever been too! Centrally located to a bunch of bars, restaurants, and entertainment!

Good location and service. Rooms are updated but could be cleaner. Seems like old building with new finishes.

I booked a block of rooms for my wedding guest and we were all quite satisfied w/the space.

Hotel itself is nice, our room was spacious and well equipped. Unfortunately there was a buzzing noise present in our room through the day and night, which made it very difficult to have a good nights sleep. Also, the parking is very tight and there isn’t many spaces - for a paid car park I would expect it to be a bit better.

It was pretty and decent. Absolute lies when they say they have free and easy parking! NOT. The bathtub was broken I had to hold a wash cloth over the hole. It keeps saying the historical hotel.they have no info! There were no linens for the sofa bed. Which we though was going to be another bed.but nope.j

The lady at the help desk is excellent and explain everythings. Breakfast is included and tastes wonderful, they offer a variety of choices as well. There are many dining places and bars nearby, good location.

Stayed here just one night. King suite. Room was nice and clean. The pull out bed wasnt very good, didn't have a real mattress just a 3 inch foam that was not enjoyable. Outside of that great location and price

The hotel was updated and looks nice. Friendly front desk staff. For a non smoking hotel the room stunk like an old ashtray. Small parking lot, but there was additional parking not far from the hotel.

Review is strictly based off of the staff. While we were out during the day they took it upon themselves to go thru all of our stuff claiming we only had the place for one day reservation clearly says two nights. When my wife called down asking why they said bc we never answered and the room was for one night acting as tho we did something wrong

We have returned for another stay since our last which, if you read below, didn't exactly go as planned. I am happy to say that this past weekend went as expected and we had an excellent stay. Based on availability, we ended up with a king Suite which was very spacious, had a fireplace and sofa sleeper, a gorgeous view of the MOST Museum, and most importantly, working appliances safely secured to the floor. Checked it with friendly staff as always. We were there for a dance competition that didn't end until really late and we had to be up even before breakfast. The night staff greeted us warmly and were happy to accommodate my request for milk for our 5am cereal. Our co-gueats were able to enjoy the breakfast, which was delicious according to them, and the coffee was too. I was confident the issues from our last stay were unique to the hotel transition, but they still needed to be acknowledged, and did not expect a repeat. We will definitely stay here again. The convenience of the location is such a plus! You are literally between a museum and a theatre!

Parking lot is tiny so be prepared to find a garage or street parking. ParkMobile or Flowbird apps will help. Remember Syracuse street parking is free after 6pm and all day on Sunday.
A fridge, microwave, and dishwasher is included in your room. Save money and bring your own food. Bring a cooler and make your own meals. They even provide you with table settings up to 4 people.
It's a very old hotel so don't expect a spa day. However there is an exercising room. This hotel isn't about keeping you in, it's about providing you with a great stay while you explore historic Syracuse!

I have mixed feelings. We didn't have the best experience but I'm always willing to give a place another chance. Positive is that when management learned of our issue, they refunded our stay without hesitation. This, I appreciated. It is an old hotel and BW is working to modernize it. In our case, we were placed in a room that was not complete and it never should been available to begin with. Location is amazing. Walking distance to so many things from the Landmark to the Most to many pubs and eateries. Plan to use a parking garage when staying. There is a large one across the street for $15 a day. They don't validate or comp so plan accordingly. Room service for breakfast is only with the higher end rooms but they do offer a complimentary breakfast. No other meals are provided. We plan to stay there again.

I stayed there for 8 nights. My room was clean and cozy. Everyday I enjoyed free breakfast (bread, yogurt, cookies, apple, etc.) All staffs are nice and kind.
Good location! When you visit Syracuse, this is the right place to stay.
