Bhatia Anurag MD, Staten Island NY

Dr. Bhatia is my old pain management doctor from when I lived in Staten Island. His staff & the doctor himself were so kind, empathetic and patient. I wish I could still see him for my pain needs but I live far now. Would always recommend Dr. Bhatia for pain management.

Dr Bhatia himself is amazing, I'd like to make sure that is known before anything else. However, his staff team that makes the appointments, and manages the front end of the practice are completely incompetent. My mother has so much trouble getting her pain medication every month, gets false promises about telehealth calls, maybe gets one for the month, and then is left high and dry the next month. I don't know if this behavior is intentional from his staff, but it's truly deplorable for a pain management specialist when the patients who go there for monthly medication depend on them. Unless things change, I strongly suggest finding somewhere more open to their patients, where you have an actual chance of even talking to your doctor if needed.

Dr Bhatia is an excellent Dr. He’s very calm and spends time with you to go over everything that is ailing you. His office staff is prompt in returning calls. They are very efficient and polite and and nurses and aides are just as good. I highly recommend this office for pain management.

There is no reason anyone could have anything negative about this wonderful Doctor and his staff.when trying to call you leave a message and they return the call promptly

Amazing Doctor! His compassion is unbeatable! He spends time with you. He is beyond skilled in his profession! I am 69 years old and have suffered for over 20 years with illnesses and surgeries with severe chronic pain in addition to being hospitalized with severe COVID IN 2020 which left me with lasting effects. I could not enjoy my grandchildren nor cook which I love to do with the severe pain and became so sad. I was referred to Dr Bhatia 2 years ago. It was like a miracle happened. He has empathy and compassion and just knows the right thing to do for his patients. He Will always call you back anytime of the day if you need him. He has an Amazing Professional Staff who call you right back if phones are busy. I can now enjoy my grandchildren, cook, and walk a bit more with the kids. Dr. Bhatia managed my pain to a degree where I felt like a person again and was able to enjoy life in My senior years even though I have a number of illnesses.
I have been to so many doctors for this severe chronic pain including NYU the past 20 years and Dr Bhatia was the only doctor who was able to make my pain manageable. Dr Bhatia is a gift to his patients and I am so happy I was able to be gifted by him with his Beyond Amazing Professional Skills and Compassion!
