Birdland Jazz Club reviews
15 Probably one of the most important jazz club in the world.
A mandatory visit for jazz lovers.
Last place we visited before Covid shut the world down. If you are in NYC this is definitely a spot you should check out. Food was good and music was great. Will be visiting again when we are back in the city.
Wow Was there in Jan2020 3 nights in a row! And missing it very much lately for being from Canada.not sure when I will be able to go back. A wonderful place, great staff, great food but Ambiance Wonderful! Ses you soon!
Love that place, used to visit NYC on a regular basis and I would always try my best to pass by and relax.
The atmosphere is chilled, service is great and of course I strongly recommend!
I came here to see the Ken Peplowski Quartet this past weekend and had an amazing time. The show was amazing and the Birdland team did a wonderful job of making people feel safe during COVID. Tables were spaciously spread apart with plexiglass between them. Very nicely decorated. The hostess was such a sweetheart and the service was great. Highly recommend and will be returning.
The legendary Birdland needs no introduction. They have been one of the few places in New York City that regularly feature Bossa Nova greats.
I have seen Eliane Elias and Marcos Valle with Paula and Jacques Morelenbaum here.
But I am not a fan of their wine list. I will stick to beers the next time I am there.
To the managers, please keep bringing more great Bossa Nova to New York City!
Greatly enjoyed cast party with Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch! Excellent evening, a must do event for anyone visiting NYC that enjoys music/musicals!
Variety of great musicians, hard-working, friendly staff, full dinner menu, full service bar. All leads to memorable nights
We had a great evening at Birdland. The venue is iconic, food was very good, server was attentive and the music was amazing!
Fantastic atmosphere, great live music, and friendly staff. My Apple Martini and Hot Apple Turnover were great, but my Southern Fried Chicken was a little burnt.
Wonderful Experience. Music was top notch and the food was good. The waitress didn’t rush us because of the next act coming on so that was a plus
A great evening with good food and drinks. Music was good but not outstanding. A noteworthy presentation by Fred Cole, brother of Nat, but fell short of expectations. Service a little slow but we were with a group and didn't get the attention I felt we deserved for the price we paid. All things considered glad we went to Birdland but probably wouldn't go back.
No matter what your age is, you are sure to have a enjoyable visit to this historical jazz club. The food is fantastic and so are the musicians. Make sure to reserve a table!
A memorable Jazz Club. Visit and you will feel the same way. I felt as if I was in. Broadway play. Musicians are awesome
Went to Jim Caruso's cast party on Mondays and it was a good time. Lots of first time and repeat performers with a variety of musical talent. Also tons of regulars in the crowd who bring energy to the room. Jim was telling us how Martin Short dropped by one evening and did standup, but that might be a rare occasion. My favourite part of the show have to be how the pianist, bassist, and drummer picked up songs so quickly. Also don't sit/stand on the piano if you are performing.
