12 My number 1 Favorite Pl.to go!
It’s always a sure thing the tuna bistro is my favorite appetizer, and they make a lobster and crab risotto to die for!
You get every dimes worth in the proportions of perfect to pricing! My tuna bistro appetizer, can even be just a meal!
Great service! This my number one restaurant. I recommend all the time! Also with Harbor House. Different but just the same quality food everything. It’s like having twins. Really different but owned by the same owner.
So I guess I have 2 number one spots by the same “father owner” fantastic cuisine, service, ingenuity, amazing mixology for specialty drinks!
Little pricey but the food is good and gives you enough to eat. Went to lunch there asked for bread and told we don't do bread at lunch. Pretty sure the first time I went there I had bread. If a customer asks for something that you do serve, it should be brought out no matter what time it is.
This was a fantastic surprise. Bistro 44 was recommended to us and it exceeded expectations. It's warm and cozy with friendly staff and a great menu. Antipasto to start, the Bistro Burger and chicken milanese as entrees, and a couple of coffee cocktails plus the pictured for dessert. An excellent evening.
I have been going to bistro 44 for over 10 years at least, and this is the first time I was extremely disappointed. My friend and I had a 4 PM reservation. The maître d’ sat us down and we were there sitting for at least 15 minutes without anybody coming over to the table. At that point, we asked the maître d’ who happen to walk by if he could please send a waiter over.he went and got one of the waiters who happened to be sitting down at the time and not paying attention to his tables. Wevordered a drink which came pretty quickly, but then it was a long while before he came and read us the specials and took our order. The order did not take that long to get to the table. We ordered a special of red snapper and shrimp, which was delicious. It then took a long while for them to clear the table and ask if we want a dessert. We ordered dessert which did not take a long time to get to the table. However, again, there was a very long delay in clearing the table. We then had to ask someone to send over the waiter and bring us our check. That’s when another waiter came over with our check and asked us to pay promptly as we were sitting there three hours, and they needed the table! At this time it was only 630 so we were there 2 1/2 hours but it was not because we wanted to be there for 2 1/2 hours. Service was the most horrible I’ve ever had.
OMG! The food, the ambiance, the service (Leo) and our entire evening was out of this world! The Veal Chop was beautifully presented and an incredibly large portion. My husband just had leftovers a day later and there is still more for tomorrow. I had the best Cioppino I've ever had. An incredible portion with clams, mussels crab claws and more claws. The base was with wine and sooooo delicious! This was such an amazing find in the charming town or Northport.
Food was very very good - Pork Chop amazing! Great size portions in appetizers and entrees! Service was great! Best Wine choice from waiter for Pinot Grigio. On a busy Saturday night (in August) food was timely and hot!
This place is great for a date night out. I had the branzino fish and it was a hearty serving with great flavor. One of the best branzino I’ve had. They have a nice little bar and outdoor seating. A northport staple for a great dinner.
A quite local upscale bistro with a small coastal community feel
. I had the Ahi tuna which was delicous. There is also a very cute outside area. I would return!
We stopped in for lunch around 1: 00 pm on a Tuesday. Party of 3. We were seated at a lovely table by the window. The remainder of the restaurant appeared quite dark, so we felt fortunate. We started with the lump crab cakes and fried mozzarella. The crab cakes were the best I’ve ever had, complimented with avocado spread. The mozzarella was good but seemed a bit overcompensated, covered in balsamic and garnish. We ordered the chicken, bacon artichoke sandwich with fries x’s two. The bread was a bit dry, as was the chicken, but the flavor was very good. The fries were average. We also ordered the lobster ravioli with cream sauce. It was delicious. Plenty of lobster and full of flavor. The sauce could have been a bit thicker, or perhaps served with bread. We only ordered water and one iced tea. The waiter was slow to refill all. My son requested a refill on his iced tea and we were charged for two iced teas. When asking the waiter if it was an error, we were told “they don’t offer free refills”. People don’t like being nickel and dimed when spending over $118.00 on lunch. I typically add 25% for gratuity. This waiter received $20.00. The service was lacking.
Service was ok and food was so so. My wife got the duck and I got the filet special. I had to send mine back as it was well done and i ordered it medium rare. After a long wait, I did get my steak medium rare. The steak wasn’t high quality and the sauce wasn’t good. My wife’s duck was overcooked and way beyond crispy. These two items were highly recommended by the server.
We sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. Excellent meal and CJ the bartender is a doll.attentive and accomodating. Great night!
