black & blue Steak and Crab, Buffalo NY

Perfect date night experience Every bite was outstanding, from the lobster toast (I've never had better!) and the crab cake to our entrées of steak (cooked to perfection) and cauliflower gratin, Mexican street corn, and mushrooms. The cocktails we had, a lavender one and the vanilla margarita, were delightful! The service was outstanding. We can't say enough about Black and Blue.

My husband and I went to B&B for the first time last weekend and were very disappointed. Food was just average - extremely over priced. However our main complaint is the seating and the lack of effort to make things right. We were seated at the smallest table in the place, by the bathrooms and by a staircase to much better seating. People were walking up and down stairs our entire meal either coming or going or using the bathroom by us! Our table was literally 6 inches from stairs and table was so small and narrow we had to have our bread basket taken away to have room for meal! We said something to waitress when she brought our bill and she informed us that people who are seated at this table usually decline to take it! I said we wanted to but there were two people sitting right next to us and we didn’t want to sound rude but in hind sight we should have. We thought maybe she would talk to a manger about this but no she just brought our bill. On way out the hostess asked how everything was and I explained that it was our first time there and why we were not happy with the seating and she took my name and made a note on our computer to never seat us at the tiny table again! I wanted to say don’t worry because we won’t be back! And how about taking the tiny table out! If people are turning it down then obviously no one likes it! You pay way to much to have a nice dining experience and then to have an annoying spot like that and no one there making any effort to comp us is just poor poor business! How about the waitress having something taken off the bill or the hostess comping us a drink at the bar before we left? Or even saying they will remove that spot! You people did nothing to make us want to come back. Had much better food at other very nice less expensive restaurants also. Thanks for nothing!

We had an excellent dinning experience here. Fine food, fine drinks, and superb service is to be expected when you eat at this place. The cocktail menu in particular is very good. I had the scallops which were delectable! I highly recommend!

January 7,2023 I was invited to a birthday celebration dinner with a group of 16 individuals. We had our own private area. Nick was our server along with two other individuals. The food, service, atmosphere and the entire experience was EXCELLENT!

My son and I visited Black & Blue after the bills game this past Sunday, Amazing atmosphere, food was very well cook and plated. Server Charles was very attentive and provided great recommendations and service. I will be returning with my wife to enjoy another nice dinner. Thank you for an amazing meal. Only issue coffee cups need to be bigger (lol) did feel bad for them running back and forth for more coffee.

I always give a restaurant a few chances before I review. 2/3 times was bad unfortunately. One time was great! Just too inconsistent to be worth the price. Mainly speaking on the food, but there was a few other things that left a bad taste in my mouth as well. Don’t waste your money, there are many other restaurants around worth it.

Celebrated a birthday there recently. Food was great and the service from Heidi and Kai was nothing less than stellar. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Ask for Heidi and Kai.

Incredible food, service was immaculate, vibe unreal. If you got a bit of cash to spend, this is the place, B&B was quite the experience and I would definitely recommend coming here!

This was such a special night! Every single thing was perfect! Ambiance. Service. Comfort. Music. Food! So wonderful!

The food and drinks were incredibly delicious, the staff was friendly & very attentive, and the vibe here is cool.

Today, my partner took me out to black and blue as a surprise dinner. I recently found out I really like steak by sneaking bits of his from a different restaurant so he figured that the best place for me to enjoy my first steak myself was here. I’m not one for fancy restaurants so I was a bit overwhelmed by the menu, all these fancy sauces and different steak options. However, our server, I sadly forgot their name but they were a young male presenting individual with glasses, was very accommodating and described to me what the sauces were and tasted like. They kept us stocked on our water without having to ask and was very polite. My partner and I had the waguy (apologies for my poor spelling) meatballs. They were delicious! My New York Strip was perfect, but I figured out my personal cook scale preference would be cooked a set lower than I ordered. However, absolutely no complaints as it was amazing with the bearnaise (excuse my spelling) sauce. Along with my partner’s ribeye. I am very pleased with my experience and the food served. When we got the check, we even got two cute pieces of dark chocolate! I was amazed by the service all around. I highly recommend this place and will be returning. Hopefully for my birthday for another surprise dinner haha.

Way too expensive for a filet that was as good as I can get at longhorn. Also too much rosemary on the steak. Dinner was just ok

Just went there for the first time about a week ago for my anniversary dinner and I don't have one complaint. It was delicious. I had the scallop dinner which comes with risotto bit I swapped it out for asparagus just because I don't like risotto. My dinner was beyond delicious. My husband got a steak with a side of their sweet potatoes dumplings. We were both very skeptical about these dumplings but they were one of the best things I've ever tried because yes I stole some of my husband's side dish. I would eat there every week if I could but the price tag makes it a special occasion place. I will be back. In the meantime I need that sweet potato dumpling recipe!

Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was good besides being a little dark and the table we sat at was spread way to far apart to have a conversation with our guest. Service was mid grade due to the fact that they were unable to split our check. We were told that we were responsible to split our own check between 6 groups. Tough pill to swallow when you spend well over a thousand dollars.

Fantastic food with a nice decor and beer and wine list. Food is consistently high quality.

We had a wonderful sweetest day! Everything was perfect. So glad we came here. It was a very special evening.

Amazing service! We had barely drank any water before it was being refilled. Very attentive staff. Food was amazing! My only disappointment was that I didn’t get the birthday dessert even though they were informed it was my birthday. I’m not sure how you get the cake with the candle. It would have been nice but overall didn’t take away from how great everything else was.
