Visited Wednesday afternoon, not too many customers but Peggy and Tracy welcomed me warmly and explained the tasting flights they have. We chatted and I tried their specialty gins also. After the flight I got their old fashioned which was awesome. I was so impressed with their port finished single barrel reserve that I had to buy a bottle! Thank you for your hospitality! Will be back whenever we visit our daughter at UR!

We came on a Saturday 9/3 at 3: 00. We checked the webpage to confirm they were open prior to driving over. The door was locked, no closed sign, and employees were seen in the window. We tried to call and wave through the window. No one picked up and we were ignored. Poor customer service.

It's a shame that my wife and I did not get the tasting we reserved. I reserved it a week out and it was confirmed but they were closed for a private party on that day/time. It was a waste of time. Black Button's tasting reservations on line are not reliable.
Good News: I received a communication that my wife and I will be receiving a free drink on them for our inconvenience. Nice service recovery, Black Button! I revised my rating accordingly.

Nice tour. Enjoyed the sampling! Mocktail I had was full of flavor and delicious. I can't remember which one it was. Husband enjoyed his old fashioned.

A place with good bourbon, beer and wine, good snacks and easy parking. A happy atmosphere with very attentive staff.

I went there for a tour and tasting and absolutely loved that part. BUT when going online, it asks you if you want to make a reservation for their restaurant. I've never been there before so I thought they must have some fancy restaurant inside. My family and I waited after the tour to eat and come to find out they don't actually have a restaurant. Just a bar and a few apps. We had to find another place to eat on a Saturday night which was super busy everywhere. Nice place and very nice people but maybe take the option off of your website to make reservations for a restaurant that's not really there.very misconceiving.

Great cocktails, wonderful atmosphere. Hear there are some great things in their future. We should keep our eyes on them.

We are big fans of the cream bourbon so we went decided to meet up with some friends there recently.
It was ok, not very lively place.
Some in the group we were meeting werent allowed in so we didnt stay long They are the only place in rochester that we know of that wont allow unvaccinated customers in.
We went next door to rorhbachs and didnt have any issues with anyone being admitted.

Just wanted to say. I recently purchased a bottle of bespoke bourbon cream. The flavor was decent but have to say I would probably not purchase it again. I have issues with my hands so opening this cork like cap is terribly hard.

My family and I went to Black Button today, and as usual, it didn't disappoint. Their amazing drinks are only surpassed by their kind and welcoming staff! A great local business that we are always happy to support.

The drinks, atmosphere and service was top notch. I recommend the Black Botton as a number one place to visit in Rochester.

I haven’t been to this location but I wanted to give a shout-out to their Bourbon Cream (Baileys Irish Cream). Absolutely delicious and WAAAAY better than Baileys (cheaper too!)

Black Button Distilling prepares some delicious cocktails and can provide group tours of the operation. It's all topped off with knowledgeable and friendly service in an unpretentious setting.

Recommendation: strong.

Phenomenal drinks, extremely friendly staff, clean facilities. Had a wonderful experience. Would recommend the Chai and the Heat Wave.

Black Button currently has gas fire tables to sit at outside. You can have up to 4 people in your reservation. You pay in advance a $25 fee per person that includes 2 drinks and it includes gratuity. There's also an option for getting 1 drink and a t-shirt or hat instead of a 2nd drink. They have a menu of cold and hot drinks to choose from. We opted for hot drinks. I had a butter pecan hot coffee drink and a cookie flavored coffee drink and both were very good. There are also hot cocoa options and even tea options. They're served in disposable to-go coffee cups.

This whole experience was very cool! The tables are set up on the side of the street. I do have to say, the fire doesn't really give off heat and you're sitting on cold Adirondack chairs. The nice thing is, they offer you freshly laundered blankets to bundle up in! I would recommend dressing very warm and bringing your own blankets just in case they run out.

BB said they will continue to do this if the city allows their setup in the street to continue. This is up in the air at the current time. They said if this continues it will depend on the weather. On their website you can book a reservation and check on the status of this event. It was a very cool experience!

In an earlier review I praised Black Button Lilac Gin proclaiming it to be superior to the national brands Tanqueray and Bombay. I was gifted a bottle of Black Button Bourbon Cream for Christmas 2020. This too is absolutely the best cream liquor I've experienced, and for my taste beats all popular national brands i.e. Baileys, Ryans etc. The liquor hit is much smoother and the cream component richer with a buttery finish.

Sat outside in the snow sampling whiskeys and drinking butter pecan old fashioneds—with most of Rochester in the orange, this is a great spot to escape cabin fever and safely savor a cocktail fireside.
