Gym Blink Fitness reviews
17 What's good:
- Convenient location if you work in the area
- Value is unbeatable
- Equipment in good condition
What's bad:
- Space gets truly cramped and hot year round during peak hours
- Two racks, one bench, and one multipurpose area is not nearly enough to satisfy the demand for strength equipment
- Lots of groups who take over spaces, especially private, non-Blink personal trainers
- Lots of hoops to jump through to cancel the membership
I really like these gyms, they are very practical and the staff is very friendly. The Smith machine must be turned to its correct position because they have it upside down (both in Jornal Square and in Nassau) the rail of the machine must be on the side of the mirror. In 111 Nassau is missing a torso rotation machine and a lower back bench which are my favorites in Jornal Square.
To go to the gym you have to make a reservation. But the gym is so busy that reservations are booked within an hour of being available, i havent been able to get a one after im out of work.
Today they stopped accepting walk ins with absolutely zero notice, so since i havent been able to get a reservation i havent been able to workout. You would think that someone at the front desk could have mentioned this last week.
When i spoke to management they unapologetically told me that they were following blinks policy. I dont know how their employees can have any sense of self respect.
I cancelled the service 2 months back and I am still being charged. The customer support on the phone is useless. This is highly unprofessional! Definitely do not recommend this ridiculous place!
Terrible service! I canceled my membership more than 1 year ago and they still charge me. I blocked the card, they said they will transfer me to a collection agency. Insane! I’m not living in the US and they still try to get my money for nothing. Terrible stuff too. All their trainers are lazy. I got one trainer before and she just wasted my time and my money.
Crowded place most of the time. Read policy carefully before you sign in, despite sweet promotings. There are many hidden fees that won't make you happy.
Staff is super nice, machines are clean and well maintained for the most part! Really nice and quiet atmosphere.best in NYC.
FiDi isn’t my favorite but it is one of the better Blinks! Equipment is spread out over two levels and while nothing is in its own room per se, the layout feels logical and everything is spread out enough that it doesn’t feel cramped.
There’s only one bench, so there can be a long wait for racks since sometimes people have to resort to benching in them. It would be great if they added another bench and another rack!
Very clean, friendly staff, weights were in the right place and disinfection was being done regularly.
Very clean and well-maintained. Friendly and efficient staff who do not irritate exercise-goers in any manner whatsoever, unlike at other Blink Fitness locations. Decent selection of equipment albeit somewhat crowded in certain areas (free-weights.)
It’s a great gym a step up to planet fitness my only thing is they should put more signs up so people can spot it more
Clean gym and the staff is super nice. If you have been to Equinox or Church, this will be a big departure and will take a little getting used to. The equipment is older (not crazy old) and a good amount of machines are always “under maintenance”. Not enough to ruin your day but it takes about a month to fix one treadmill which is slightly hard to understand. If you are looking for a $30 gym, great option. If you are looking for a cheaper equinox, stick with equinox.
They signed me up for a 1 year membership when I asked for 1 month then they refused to refund me. Wish I could give blink a 0 star review.
If all you care about is fitness, then blink does the job. If you care a lot about convinience/luxury, you should probably try somewhere more upscale.
An excellent gym. Plenty of equipment to cover a full body workout. Always full early mornings on weekdays. Best time to go is after 9 pm or early morning weekends
You guys can do better.
Compared with the one at 30th st,
This one stinks, less equipped.
