Blink Fitness Crown Heights reviews
32Not a lot of machines and free weights. I guess I’m used to planet and retro. But other than that, it was decent.
Can get crowded. From that you'll potentially miss your work out goal for that day, unless you are OK with staying longer than you plan. Other than that it's a good place to workout at. The staff is cool.
I've been going here for about 6 months now and honestly i have not even encountered a single problem, i can relax, enjoy my workout and no one will even glance at me. Also the personal trainers are very friendly, nice and will help you out with any general questions you have if you're a little bit lost. They have a lot of options as far as machines go and have a very good amount of free weights. Also to note that they have a very good schedule of hours, even for weekends working till 7 is a great option if you want to hit the gym after work. Also to mention that they have not complained once for me slamming the weights, so highly reccommend!
You are welcome. Joining the gym during covid was a cocern & the staff till this day always makes me feel welcomed and comfortable.
This gym is cheap and convenient for me, but i'm not sure i'd recommend it.its not super clean, and the staff often clean the workout areas at the busiest times.also the ventilation is terrible.its stuffy and warm before you've even started moving.they also close really early on weekends (7pm)
Mystery shopper: Went in to ask about info on their rates and was met by a huge gentleman at the desk with a flattop hair style I believe. He said they had nothing. It’s on their website!
He failed to volunteer information to a potential member of the gym. He did not give details on the current rates, any specials or even offered me to look around.
He failed to give a friendly introduction to the gym and its culture. He prevented the franchise from gaining membership and capital.
When asked about the gym in comparison to a Crunch gym which is their nearby competitor his answer was “I’ve never been inside of a crunch gym”. He failed to know the gym’s competitor.
Failing grade for the employee and his ability to introduce new members to the gym, further hurting the gym’s ability succeed!
For the young lady cleaning.for the team member with the eternal cold
for the staff
I saw the cleaning lady use the same rag on the machines In the ladys restroom.
Most of the people who use the machines don't wipe it down.
Not good with the measles outbreak in that neighborhood.
There are five stair machines and only three work.
Staff I dealt with are very professional.
DO NOT GO HERE! Assist Manager Martin Peacock has no customer service skills. He interrupted my workout with my 2 girlfriends, stating we were trainers. One girl was newer to the program and he assumed because her form was not perfect that she had to be getting trained by someone else in our group. What is doesn't know 2 out of 3 of us, just been working out a little longer. His assumption was baseless. He was disrespectful in his delivery and it was embarrassing. THE WHOLE POINT OF BLINK IS TO BRING YOUR FRIENDS BUT YOU CANT DO THAT AT THIS GYM! Do not go here!
DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM! I joined and signed up for only a month of personal training. They keep charging my card for more training that I DID NOT SIGN UP for and they refuse to refund me. They are thieves!
Equipment inventory is low and almost always missing.
People here have zero gym etiquette.
Weights are never re-racked.
If someone sets up a circuit for themselves, you can bet that they will never put their stuff back.
Folks have full-on phone conversations in-between sets, which monopolizes the equipment being used. On top of that, they apparently think that 10 minute set breaks for loads that aren’t heavy are acceptable.
Overall, this location is the pits.
This low rate has specifically to do with an elevator light situation. Since Sunday there has been no light in the elevator. This is a scary prospect for a woman going up in elevators at 5am. I have been to other Blink locations and my dissatisfaction has specifically to do with the fact that this would not be a lingering effect were it the Bryant Park location. Please do not treat us as second class citizens because we are located in Crown Heights. You need to do better with this one ASAP.
Plenty of workout equipment. Only reason why I go here is because it's cheap and the best option in the neighbourhood. The air ventilation is very poor and it gets extremely stuffy. The staff can get rude at times and unwilling to simply do their job. I specifically remember going in on a very slow Sunday morning and there were absolutely no cleaning wipes in 2 out of the 3 stations. The staff ignored this and went about chatting.
Nice gym for overall health & cardiovascular but having only two weight benches & almost no chest machines 4 a place thats usually packed is frustrating at best!
It's generally pretty crowded but it's not as intimidating as most gyms. Generally most the equipment is clean and in good shape, people are nice to each other, and the staff is helpful. A good no-frills gym.
Nice staff, modest subscription price, and a multitude of machines and weights to chose from. It's a smaller-scale gym that also offers lessons from personal trainers. You have to sign up and get a Blink keycard before you can use any equipment, but you can do that on-site or online and then finish registration at the gym. I visit when I can and it can get busy, but there's enough equipment to go around and enough space to accommodate most workouts.
Nice gym if your into fitness. Lots of equipment. Spacious, and staff are friendly. There is a mixed crowed of old and young, woman and men.
Same issue as the lady below. Cancelled my membership in person and paid the respective fees associated with said cancellation. Fast forward two months later and I get an email saying my account is past due. Called and was told the manager will call me back. Incompetence is on another level there.
This isn’t some fancy gym, but it has everything you need for a well rounded work out. The equipment is new and the gym is clean. An excellent gym for the price.
Great gym very clean friendly staff it’s just the men that come here I don’t really care for these young boys always laughing and giggling at people working out this is suppose to be a place where people can feel confident about losing weight not be laugh at for doing so
He equipment upgrade is a major plus. I had stopped going to this location due to the limited free weights for squats, deadlifts, etc. Now, it’s more than equipped! Two thumbs up for management listening to the needs of the customer.
