Blo Blow Dry Bar, Greenvale NY

First time at this place! I came for a blowout to get my hair done for NYE gala the hair stylist asked me what I wanted I said blowout. So I chose the hairstyle from the book not knowing they will be using curling iron for that look. She start doing my hair blow drying and using curling iron but I wanted a blowout not curling iron curls. I was confused. Nobody told me there is a curling iron used for this look meanwhile I said twice I want blowout. Then she told me oh you want brush curls I said yes if that’s what you call it? ! I don’t want curling iron I can do that myself at home. So since the hair was already dry she couldn’t do the brush curls anymore which is actually the blowout I ask for because hair was already dry. So I said ok just try it. So I left with a mix of curl and a blowout that didn’t last. My hair was flat not in shape when I came home after 30 min. I had to redo my hair with a curling iron because it didn’t look good. So my hair was ruined for my NYE GALA! I wasted my money. Somebody should’ve explained me what tools are used for the look I chose from the book! She should’ve told me that’s not a blowout but curling iron is used.

Wow I've never had such a good experience with someone styling my hair, and I've been underwhelmed before. Chrissy, I think her name was? ! Put some clip-in extensions in and styled my usually limp hair into a voluminous beautiful creation. I don't know how she did it but besides that she was such a cool and sweet person. She made my hair perfect for my video shoot and it lasted at least 12 hrs. I'll def be back for her expertise. I usually don't go anywhere just for a blow out and a style but I'll be taking advantage of this place and my stylist as long as she's around!

This past weekend we were visiting Long Island for my nephew’s wedding. My daughter and I were both thrilled with our hair and makeup! Jessie did both of our makeup, and we used Olga and Shaniqua for our hair. The owner was lovely and very accommodating!

Mischa was amazing! Very positive experience. Makeup held up for over 5 hours and I looked and felt beautiful!

I got a beautiful updo by Misha for a black tie wedding! Misha was accommodating, professional, and friendly. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience at Blo Dry Bar. Nancy styled my hair to perfection! She knew exactly what style would look best! She was quick and efficient. Excellent experience and I will absolutely return and request her!

Misha gave me a beautiful blow out and curled my hair perfectly for a wedding! She also put false lashes on me and they look perfect! Extremely happy with my experience at Blo today and will 100% be returning and requesting Misha! Highly recommend her and Blo in general. Such a cute fun environment and a relaxing experience. 10/10!

I’ve never had a problem with Blo until 6/7. I booked an appointment with them a month in advance for my engagement pictures. I show up to the salon and they’re closed. No phone call or any sort of communication to let me know they would not be open. I leave a voicemail for them, and goes un returned. I called the salon the next day to speak to a manager and was told I would get a call back from her. It’s now the end of the day and still no phone call. This salon no longer has my business.

I used Blo - Glen Cove Road for my wedding, and I cannot recommend them enough. Our hairstylist was Corryn and from the moment she did my hair for my trial, I knew she was perfect for my wedding day! She was honest, open, kind, patient, and so talented! She was also super punctual and had a great attitude at 7am, which I appreciated. She even helped one of my bridesmaids with her hair, even though she didn't have to do that. I'm in love with my wedding hair and I will never recommend Blo or Corryn enough! Thank you so much!

Truly one of the best Blo outs I’ve ever had! I have naturally curly hair. It’s very rare you find a stylist that listens to your preferences and follows through with the exact style you’re looking for. Nancy was kind, professional, and gave me a blow out that lasted almost a week! I barely had to touch it up on my own. No frizz, smooth, bouncy, and all around perfection! I will definitely be back!

Very pricey for a blow out for the type of service that they give. The minute the blow dryer is turned off they're showing you out of the chair. In other salons they would do some last minute touches with the brush, etc. Not here. Blow dryer off- you're done whether it looks good or not.

I took my wife there and the staff couldn't be more accommodating to her needs. They are very experienced and very friendly and mostly professional. Her hair and brows came out the way she wanted. We traveled far and it was definitely worth the trip. I highly recommend Blo Bar dry Bar to everyone.

Went here for the first time to get a blow out and curls with a curling iron for my friends wedding. My stylist was Danielle and she was amazing! She listened to my concerns about humidity ect. She did a wonderful job considering normally I'm very picky with how my hair is styled.it came out beautifully and the curls lasted all day. Will definitely visit again

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I purchased my mother a certificate for Mother's Day and they treated her so rude and did a horrible job on her hair. As she was checking out the receptionist could not find her name in the system and made her wait for over 20 mins. This place should learn how to be organized and professional and not treat their paying clients with such disrespect! Also, would not hurt to have hair stylists that know how to blow dry hair!

Very overpriced for a wash a blow out especially since many of the stylists are new trainees. So it's hit or miss how your hair will come out. Also, if you like the way a particular stylist did do your hair they don't allow you to request that stylist. You have to take what they give you. Not a good policy. Will only go here as a last resort.
