Really good food with unique flare in a warm but dark and somewhat dreary spot. Tons of options that you won't find elsewhere in addition to the standard fare as well. Good portion sizes, priced accordingly and very friendly staff. Good is fresh and you won't go home hungry or broke!

Great food for a pretty reasonable price. Expensive but for people who really love sushi! We easily dropped a benjamin here but it was worth it because we had really fresh sushi! Definitely a must if you are staying on the upper west side.

The sushi was not firm, the prices were high & the rolls where just Maki. This place had a wonderful environment so that's a plus. The staff was very poised & direct unfortunately he seemed irritated (five star - AKI was very kind and helpful)

I’m only giving 3 stars because the sushi was good however it is very small portioned and not very special for the price. I may be heavily opinionated because I’m used to very exotic special uramaki rolls. The “special rolls” they had here were very basic and not filling at all and were pretty much the equivalent to a super market pre made roll that just tastes better. Just not worth the price. And the drinks are the same as well, highly priced and 3 gulps big.

Sushi was just OK compared to some other spots around the neighborhood. A lot pricier than expected but overall not a horrible experience.

It was miscommunication with the reservation but they accommodated us with our request. Top notch customer service and professionalism.

Food was good and you will pay for quality and freshness.
Please be advised to book ahead of time. Definitely recommend if you want some sushi.

Omakase was a disappointment - perhaps better at the bar, but at a table, it was just a sushi/sashimi platter with a bunch of items you’d never order.

Best Miso I've ever had! The Sushi is fantastic, try the Combo Platter. The Desert is to die for OMG! Tje service is spot on. Highly recommend, 5 Stars all day! Oh and open until midnight.

The service was amazing! We came during rush our with no reservation, and they still managed to fit us in! The sushi was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was so beautiful and quaint. Definitely on our favorite New York restaurants list!

Theres only one word to describe this evening’s sushi “ pretty pretty good “.

The water glass tho is a little worn out.
The main dining room can be very loud and we were lucky to have a 4 seater table between the section of the bar and the main room.

Blue Ribbon is a fantastic sushi restaurant that I highly recommend. The quality of the sushi is outstanding, with fresh and delicious fish. The presentation is impressive, and the menu offers a great variety of rolls and "from our kitchen" meals. Overall, a must-visit for sushi lovers.

An excellent experience, specially at the bar. Nice specials, very fresh food. Excellent service and nice choice of sake. Not cheep, but not a surprise for Japanese food. At least, the price worths the quality and the experience. Nice choice of sakes.

We sat at a nice booth and loved the service and food. Everything was fresh. I loved mushroom salad, vegan vegetable sushi wrapped in cucumber (and topped with avocado). My server recommended amberjack appetizer and oyster tempura. I have never tried them before but glad I did! I wish I took more photos. Everything was beautifully plated. It was a perfect lunch (maybe slightly expensive for lunch? But I will skip dinner haha). It is inside of a hotel.

Really good and fresh sushi. Oxtail rice is a very large bowl, quite good. The dessert was awesome.
Service is really good, a bit over priced in my opinion.

Food was awesome. Did not wait long for a table and atmosphere was condusive to the food ordered. Plentybon menu to sample a First Time Ever choice.
