11/10, this is the best hospital and most beautiful hospital. I went to blythdale for 3-4 years and it has been the best hospital experience I could ever ask for. I would wake up everyday and be excited to go to school. I love all the members since their kind, nice, brave, etc.
All the bad reviews people leave are false. People just don’t see the greatness in things.
Thanks to all members for helping me recover! Much love️

My grandson was there! Unforgettable times. Stayed there after a very complicated but successful surgery at Columbia Hospital. The best physical therapy. Doctors, nurses and also the teachers. Our family always be grateful!

On behalf of the current 11th and 12th grade students of the Mount Pleasant Blythedale UFSD, which educates the patients of Blythedale Children's Hospital, "this hospital is top notch. Number 1 children's hospital in the world! The doctors, nurses, therapists, and school staff are all amazing. We are grateful to be here! "

I lived in this hospital for three years long long ago when I was just a child I was diagnosed with perthies and Dr. Katz surgically put a wire in my hip in hopes that blood vessels would grow around it. My mom love me so much she did not want me to miss any kind of school and this place had a score. I remember the maintenance guy named Ray he was a great guy my legs were put in a V brace and this hospital at the time had these things look like stretchers they were called Blithe mobiles I spent three years there over 55 years ago and because the staff was very caring I don’t feel I was gypped out of any of my childhood

One of the worst rehabilitation hospitals out there. First they cut up some of the clothes for my son. Then they leave my son crying through the night. Then I was told by Jennifer, the nurse practitioner, that the reason why they couldn't take my son's feeding tube out was because they didnt have enough staff to bottle feed him. Not only that they took my son off of solids and now only have him being formula feed. Not only that the staff broke one of my son's electrical toys and still had him playing with it. I still have yet to hear back from them about that. Now they got my 10 month old on a 4 hour feeding schedule and even when he is crying for food they are refusing to feed him. On top of that whenever I brought my complaints to Jaime Kraimen, the social worker, she straight up told me to tell the staff about it even though when I first met her she told me to bring any complaints that I had about the staff to her and that she would help me out with it.

Initially when I knew my daughter was being transferred to Blythedale from the Nicu I was extremely apprehensive about this place due to the location. However, I am glad that I listened to my daughters team of doctors when they said Blythedale was the best. From the onset everyone was so nice and friendly. The best side manner of the Nurses and each staff member at Blythedale is impeccable and Dr. Davidson. Coming from a first time mom with a 24 weeker (micropremie), the care that my miracle baby received was the best. Thank you Blythedale fir helping my daughter and making me feel like I could live a normal life with my baby during our stay.

What a joke. THE. MASKS. DID. NOT. STOP. OR. SLOW. A. SECOND WAVE! MASKS. DID. NOT. SLOW. DOWN. THE. SECOND WAVE. EVEN. A. LITTLE. BIT! THE SECOND. WAVE. WAS. WORSE! THE FIRST WAVE NO ONE WORE MASKS AND NOTHING WAS LOCKED DOWN! THE SECOND WAVE EVERYONE WAS FORCED TO WEAR MASKS AND MOST THINGS WERE LOCKED DOWN! THE SECOND WAVE WAS WORSE! EVEN IN ITALY WERE PEOPLE WERE NOT ALLOW TO LEAVE THEIR HOUSE AND FORCED MASKING ACROSS THE ENTIRE POPULATION!

Blythedale is an amazing place to be in. I was admitted to Blythedale on Friday, January 29,2021. I was nervous to arrive because I was getting into a new environment. When I got there many people came in to welcome me. They gave me a folder with papers for me to read about the hospital, which I think it's really amazing. The dietician came in and gave me my menu for the week. Yes! You can choose between 2 meals you would want to eat. They have breakfast at 8: 30 AM, Lunch at 12PM and Dinner at 5PM. They give amazing foods and they are professionally served. They give you a large tray, with REAL plates, spoons, forks and butter knife. The doctors, housekeeper and nurses are constantly washing their hands when they enter your room. You will be assigned a nurse in the morning and a nurse in the afternoon. Housekeeper will make sure your room is clean and the bathroom has toilet paper. There is a bathroom in every room. On the first day you will meet with your assigned therapist. He/She will be working with you till you get discharged from the hospital. All of the therapists in the hospital are amazing and they care about you. There is Wi-Fi, TV and a telephone in your room. There is a hospital bed, sofa bed, drawers for your clothes. The sofa bed is for any parent or guardian that will be staying with you. You will be given a control where you can press a button and ask for help if you need something. The nurses are quick to get to your room and assist you. I really love Blythedale because they treat you with respect no matter what color or race you are. The best thing about this hospital is that it has a school here too. So if you are unable to go to your school, you can enter their school and get credits while you recover at the hospital. The credits you earn at Blythedale will be given to your regular school. The BEST part of Blythedale is REC! Basically Rec is a place where kids meet the other kids in this hospital and they can play card games, talk, play video games like with the XBOX, Nintendo Switch, PS5 etc. Rec is a place where you can just have fun and meet other kids as well. The Rec teachers are so amazing! They make sure you are comfortable, safe and happy. Rec starts at 6PM and ends at 8PM on the weekdays. On the weekends Rec starts at 6PM and ends at 7: 30PM. The Rec crew will go to your room and ask you if you want to go to REC. You are allowed to say "No" but trust me it's a beautiful time to be at REC and meet New Friends. The Rec crew will bring you out the room to take you to the REC room, where they will have you sanitize and wear a mask. EVERYONE in the room has to wear a mask which is amazing. When REC finishes, the Rec crew will take you back to your room. If you are on your wheelchair, they will take you there and you don't have to push yourself. If you are using a walker and you are going slow, they will go slow with you and make sure you are safe. Blythedale is truly an amazing place to be in and it's a life changer for so many kids! Also, at Blythedale they check your vitals every day. In the morning and at night. They also give you a walker and a wheelchair if you need it. They will also give you a bench for you to sit while you shower, but that's only if you need it. Blythedale is the best place to get therapy and get better. Just know that Blythedale has amazing nurses, doctors, therapists, teachers and staffs here. YOU ARE SAFE AT BLYTHEDALE. I LOVE BLYTHEDALE AND I AM SAD TO LEAVE. I will get discharged March 8,2021 and I leave Blythedale 100% better than I was when I first arrived. I leave Blythedale with love THANK YOU BLYTHEDALE

I went to Blythedale Children's Hospital a couple years ago when I was a teenager with a group of others around my age. We were there to volunteer for the day and throw a party for them. The staff that greeted us had us sit in the lobby area for some time before finally ushering us into the room that we would meet the kids we would hang out with for the day. We were briefly told about their digital automated medicine tracker/organiser which impressed me back then.

I didn't see many staff around the front desk. Which I'm assuming is because of the automated system. The hospital felt a little hollow but playing with the children and trying to learn about an individual’s particular condition was very humbling especially since some weren't too far off in age from me. The nurse (aide?) who brought us in, stood a ways off but just within view of the room in case we would need her.

It's a bit disappointing to see that the vibe most have encountered since then seems to be worsening though. I highly suggest that whoever manages their reviews actually responds to some of these complaints and directly relays it back to the relevant people. I’m sure there’s room for improvement.

Most dedicated Nursing staff anywhere. Nursing Supervisor K Henry and Dr Mitchell are overly OUTSTANDING! It is the staff that make this hospital, Aides included!?

I am a nurse and what I witnessed today was alarming. I watched a nurse sitting at the desk doing absolutely nothing while a baby was crying and another child was in respiratory distress. She sat there looking at a blank screen until I mentioned to her that a baby who was unattended was sitting in a high chair for over an hour unattended crying. A mom visually upset about her child coughing in respiratory distress was not looked at. Several staff members walked passed mom and child and nothing was done as a nurse my heart broke at just how. Neglectful nurses were. Everyone is so laxed and it's horrible to see babies in distress not getting care. A beautiful place from the outside. Inside horrible.
