Easy to do business with them. They can handle our 40 foot deep draft sailboat.

The boat place is awesome and is by far the best place to keep your boat in the Port Jeff area. We've been dry land marina customers for almost 10 years and have been incredibly happy. The concept is simple, tthe Boat Place takes care of maintenance and launching the your boat, all you do is show up at the time of launch and go. Scheduling is handled through an app which makes things incredibly convenient and easy to use. The docks are in great shape and there are hoses to wash your boat after use. Pete, Gary, Jason and the rest of the staff area great people as well. 5/5 stars

I was in need of a new boat mechanic. I went online locally and found Pete. I had purchased a 25 Evinrude that at the very least needed a water pump. He gave me a price, and after my saying to go through some other things such as the carb, he told me to wait, until he saw how if ran.

I liked that approach. In two days, my engine was repaired, and the other things worked fine. He could have taken the money from me right from the get-go but he didn't.

Obviously, a man of great integrity and I highly recommend him!

I strongly recommend The Boat Place to anyone needing to store their boat in the Port Jefferson area. My family has been involved in sailing in the Port Jeff and Mount Sinai area for decades, and had always been happy storing at another yard in the area. This year we purchased a new boat which was too big to store at my old yard, and after talking to a few people I decided to give The Boat Place a try. What a great decision that was!

From the first day the communication was excellent with Pete and Gary providing excellent information both in person and via regular emails. They follow the schedule with precision, making it easy to plan any work that you need to do. I was there when they hauled my boat and the care and concern with which the entire yard staff treated my boat was very comforting.

On top of the great service given so far, The Boat Place really outdid themselves and helped me sell my old boat. I had made plans to store the boat in another yard, which then fell through at the last minute. I went to Pete and Gary and they couldn't have been more helpful immediately agreeing to provide me with a spot to store the boat despite their yard being full. THEN at the last possible second (literally as the boat was being hauled) a buyer showed up and made me an offer. The Boat Place could have given me a hard time, but instead graciously did everything they could do to assist with the sale, storing the boat for me on the side in their yard, relaunching the boat for a sea trial, and then providing me with a mooring to store the boat while the sale was pending. All of this was done while they were in the middle of the busiest hauling week of the year!

They treated me like family though I am a new customer. I cannot say enough about the excellent service, communication and general helpfulness.
