Bobwhite Counter reviews
20I ordered from them twice in two days. The first order was wrong. However, the food was phenomenal. It might be the best fried chicken in Manhattan.
Got chicken caesar salad wrap and spicy chicken sandwich. Both were pretty good but it wasn’t mind blowing. Mac and cheese was really good, i didn’t like the coleslaw.
Bobs Whites no matter the day, time or weather has some of the best chicken sandwiches in the city. I would highly recommend checking it out. The service is fast and consistent. My only complain is that there is a. 10 difference between the spicy and regular chicken sandwich, while I know they’re not putting 10¢ worth of seasoning on the chicken. It is seasoned well though maybe 3¢ worth haha. This is a perfect meal after going bar hopping in the LES/ East Village.
I always get the spicy chicken sandwich along with the Mac and cheese.
Tasty fried chicken with the most satisfying crunch. They mainly serve dark meat for individual pieces so you know they got it goin on
The chicken tenders are to die for! I purchased at the union square location on Zero Irving. Didn’t realize they have different fries. I didn’t like the fries at Zero Irving. Felt like the tenders are too good for the fries to be so bland. Went to pick up at this location today and realized they have another type. I’m planning to purchase soon to see if these fries here match the quality of those tenders. The tenders are really good
4.5 stars. Guy at counter and the price was cool. Tried every chicken, no sides. Food was wavy, sauces too. Biscuit is aight. My favorite is the spicy chicken sandwich with honey. Only bad thing is food was not as hot as it should have been. Regardless Id definitely come again.
I like Bob White’s food … today I have no idea why would they give me dry chicken biscuits, burnt Mac & cheese, burnt fries… I spend a lot of money at Bob White’s there is no reason for the waste of my money and waste of food especially at todays high prices… it not good for business
DEFINITELY Fried chicken is not good for you. That being said, this is definitely a good chicken sandwich. I did notice that the line was longer at this food vendor then at the other beautiful vendors in the food garden. This is an excellent space, this urban food garden with beautiful food vendors and easy to access spaces to eat and bathrooms with excellent maintenance. It's very easy to come and go and a friendly inviting atmosphere with beautiful food vendors throughout. That is not always a given in a big busy city so I definitely give this general urban food garden high ratings. Sandwich review: excellent. The service was definitely on point and they delivered the sandwich quickly. It was delicious and as far as the chicken, very full thick chicken serving and it's great because the fried batter is minimal which makes it more acceptable as a delicious treat, not necessarily healthy but easy to get and hits the spot and basically quite high quality. The prices at this urban food garden are not that unreasonable given that it's New York City. So as far as my experience is definitely a recommend. It's easy friendly reasonably priced and accessible. What more can you ask for? Have a great day. I support an elevate local businesses when they care about what they do and produce a good product.
The spicy chicken sandwich is probably the best I’ve had in New York. Fries could have been done a little more crispy, but the bobwhite sauce is great. Probably wouldn’t get the lemonade again.
Great mac n cheese. But that chicken sandwich was the driest chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. The fries were sad and floppy with no salt.
Buffalo tender box and buffalo chicken wrap are awesome. Right next to ABC, so great grabbing a drink there to compliment the meal.
Man I am nominating this fried chicken be the official fried chicken of NYU Langone Hospital me and a few co workers at the hospital wanted to see what all the hype and fuss was about with Bobwhite Counter and it did not dissapoint one bit.
Underwhelming and overrated. Chicken sandwich was dry. Same with the fries. Caesar wrap had little chicken and bottom bun of sandwiches were hard. We ordered 3 sandwiches and all had the same experience. Mac and cheese could use more seasoning.
The tenders are amazingly juicy and well seasoned. My first time there, and I had to add it to my top 5
The best buffalo chicken I've ever had. The drumsticks and mac 'n' cheese are also great, add the house sauce. The service is lovely, the owners really put their heart and soul into it.
Plain old delicious food. Love everything here! Fried chicken with biscuits & the buffalo chicken wrap are my personal favorites. Been here many times and great local place to grab a bite. But worth noting it's mainly take away. They do have casual tables outside to eat at.
The food was not bad, but this is NOT soul food. Got the Chicken biscuit with pickles and ranch, which was pretty good, with the mac-n- cheese (it was ok), and the black- eyed peas and collard, were actually really good. I was PLEASANTLY surprised! While I DEFINITELY wouldn't call this soul food, it was actually not bad.
Incredible chicken ceaser wrap. One star off for vibes. Definitely a take out spot. Don’t forget a side of Buffalo sauce
Typically food is great but sadly disappointed to find a long hair in my food delivery order… not cool at all!
