We've had only the best experiences at Bond Vet Cobble Hill. We were referred from our local Bond Vet in Long Island for the specialty surgery team, as our 11-year old Shih Tzu, Vishnu, needed to have a couple masses removed. From the initial appointment, to the surgery and follow-up, Dr. McDougall, Monet and the entire staff at BVCH have been extremely thorough and dedicated in their care and attention to Vishnu and his health. We could not be more grateful, and I wish I could give them 10 out of 5 stars for a job well done.

The vet took so long to see my pet and recommended so many unnecessary tests. They only try to milk every penny out of you with no care for my pet’s wellbeing. Definitely would never recommend

The one star reviews are spot on — AVOID THIS PRICE GOUGING PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I spent almost $1,000 in tests for a lethargic cat with face swelling and they couldn’t figure out the issue, and told me to visit a specialist for $6,000 just to “try” to figure out what it is, and that doesn’t include treatment which would be additional. The appointment was over 3 and a half hours long, and they didn’t have the pain injections my cat needed so I had to take more time out of my day and do multiple follow ups to that office since I was told they would contact me and they never did, and I went there when I was told it was ready, only to wait another 30 minutes (this specific part is for the Cobble Hill location). I wish I could get a partial refund since they wasted my money because I had such an awful experience and didn’t even find the issue or treat it properly. I’ve never had such a horrible experience at any other vet, and still wish I had my awesome vet back when I lived in Texas who I’m sure would’ve figured out this issue and treated it for a fraction of the cost. Do NOT come here if you care about your pet, and please believe the one star reviews!

Horrible service, you can hardly reach them on the phone, they put you on hold and never pick up, I been trying to reach them for 2 hours, automatic system says waiting time 3 min and than none picks, and you starts from beginning. Would never bring my pet back there, is better to go clinic where vet cares that his staff answers phone, I work myself in ED, and we are busy too, so no excuse for such office not be reachable for 2 + more hours

We came to Bond after parting ways with our long-time vet. Immediately I knew we made the right choice. The office was warm and inviting, staff members kept me informed of the wait (which was not bad even on a busy Saturday), and the doctor took time to walk us through everything - no pushing extra services on us like other offices do.

They also followed up a day or two later to see how our cat was doing.

What struck me the most was their kindness. When we lost one of our cats recently, our previous vet (of 13 years) just shoved a bill in our face without so much as a condolence. The doctors at Bond were compassionate and offered their condolences, even for a patient they'd never met. It's clear they care about their clients and what they do. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful and clean atmosphere. The staff members are all lovely and kind people very caring and helpful while keeping their professionalism. The treatment and care of your pet will be a thorough one. They cross every t and dot every i. They’re very informative about everything prior to treatment and allow you to decide what’s best and suitable for your pet and your budget. I highly recommend this facility for for your pet’s care. 5 stars!

I'm always happy to bring my princess Lily to Bond vet for her appointments. The doctors and nurses are very nice and passionate about their job. They treat my baby very well and work with me on giving my baby the best support that she needs.

Beautiful facility, very friendly lovely staff, the vet tech and vet were both so lovely with my cat. Very easy check in process and appt booking. I am leaving three stars because although everything is lovely the amount of upselling that they do for unnecessary things is appalling. I would like to go to the vet, worried about my sick pet without having to think of ways to fend off the added unnecessary treatments. They prescribed meds that didn’t treat any of my cat’s symptoms or solve his issues, they are for anxiety and pain, but my cat was not anxious and it was not determined whether anything was causing pain. They also recommended and performed subcutaneous i/v fluids. But now, looking over his records from the visit I see that the vet noted that he was not dehydrated, and I even told her he was drinking fluids like normal and I was feeding him “soups” at home which were keeping him properly hydrated. At the end they also tried to charge an extra $25 to send one of the tests to an external lab, even though the vet had already assured us that she wasn’t concerned about it, and in his records it stated that they had performed the test in house and it was normal. I love the ease, the pretty, clean interiors, and the absolutely lovely staff. But you have to be prepared to scrutinize every recommendation and think to yourself: does my pet need this? Do they have sound basis for providing this? Will this actually treat any of my pet’s symptoms or illnesses? Because for half of the prescribed treatment, this was not true for me.

The quality of service (and staff, esp the front desk people and vet aides, so basically the entire place) is deteriorating fast. Used to love bringing my dog here, but now it feels factory like and just a money grab to try to extract as much $ as possible from you. I don't trust this place anymore.

Terrible service. No compassion. The minute that we felt reluctant with their $3k teeth cleaning quote, the vibe changed. Never going there again.

Very good experience here with my poorly dog. Thoughtful and respectful staff. Would recommend.

Nobody wants to say goodbyevto their best friend but when you have to the Cobble Hill location is a good choice. They made the situation as easy as possible. The company they used for cremation was quick. We picked up her ashes, her paw print and a lock of her hair 1 week later. The urn is mantle worthy. Their price for a solo cremation is fair compared to other local Vets and less than several others. The room was set up so you can hold your pet if you want. No rushing.

This is probably the worst Bond Vet. AVOID IF YOU CAN. The vet was very nice and thoughtful but the rest of the service was abysmal. They took a very long time to see us and took an additional 40 minutes to give us the medicine (which should normally not take longer than 5 minutes). When we finally got the medicine and wanted to pay, the machine was “updating” and we had to wait another 20 minutes to be able to pay. We explained we needed to leave but they did not do anything to make the process faster. We lost an hour waiting for them because they were scrambling and could not get it together. You’re better off visiting another location.

Brought my ACC foster pup here to get her teeth cleaned and a minor surgery. Not sure if it’s the norm, but she was with them from 8: 30am to nearly 7pm, and were running late with appts when I arrived at 6: 15p to pick her up. There was an issue with their dental drill which ended with the full extraction of her bad teeth had to be postponed, but they offered to see her again at no additional cost to have the remaining bad teeth removed.

Staff is pleasant and seems to possess knowledge of dogs. But unfortunately this facility does not know how to medically treat or diagnose cats.

I never leave negative reviews but I feel like I have to say something because the other reviews are misleading here. The doctors and staff are totally nice, but I can't in good conscience recommend Bond Vet. This is a corporate chain, not a family vet, and I think that's really important to know before you come in. $125 a visit for just an exam is just so far above market rate, and $425 for x-rays. I finally found a new vet nearby and they charge $45 for exam and $150 for x-rays and I just felt really bummed that I'd been paying these prices. We came here for our cat's ear infection a few years ago when we first moved back to the neighborhood and just fell into coming here, but I had no idea how inflated their prices were. I would only come again for an absolute emergency.

Super disappointing. I got the feeling they were more interested in selling a bunch of services than my pets well-being. Once I said I didn’t want the extra tests, the vibe of the appointment totally changed, and I felt like I was getting rushed out of the exam room. I was also shocked when the $45 medication they gave me at the office had already been opened. Not going back.

I had an initial first visit to this practice with one of my two cats and although I had to wait like 30 minutes to be seen, I had a great experience with Dr Saleh. Yesterday, however, I had a horrific experience. My second cat is a senior cat with lymphoma cancer. We recently relocated to NY, so I called the practice explaining his condition and that I needed someone knowledgeable of this condition to see him, as I wanted to have a general check and needed a prescription to refill his meds. The reception person booked me with Dr. Bloomfield (she said that Dr Saleh was away for 2 weeks, which I found later on was not correct). The Bedstuy location that should be opening soon will be closer to me, but I took a taxi to this Cobble Hill one as my previous experience was good, and it has great reviews. My cat was extremely stressed when we got there (he hates traveling), and to my shock Dr. Bloomfield was surprised and a bit sarcastic about the fact that he had been put forward as vet capable of assisting my cat in his condition. He was a bit like, Me? No way (the attitude, not the exact words). He tried to be as helpful as possible, but it was a completely waste of my time, almost 100USD thrown away in taxi fees, and more over, having exposed my cat to the journey in absolute vain, as I left without a prescription and a medical assessment. An absolutely horrible experience. Train your receptionists so they know what they do and say! A wellbeing of an animal starts with whatever they do.

2 stars because they are nice, have a lot of vets on staff and availability and it seems like your experience might differ based on the vet you get. My cat was peeing blood/squatting and they looked at him and told me he was blocked to immediately go to the hospital for surgery!

The hospital could not believe they told me that and I was bawling thinking my cat was in an urgent situation. Luckily he was stable/no blockage or surgery needed but gave me the scare of a lifetime. I'd get a second opinion before coming here.
