Boucherie West Village reviews
12Service was impeccable but the food was just disappointing. This place came highly regarded and as a frequent of Paris I expected a high quality treat. However the food was mediocre at best. The rare steak was cooked to perfection but was seared too long and way too peppery. The atmosphere was wonderful but the food was not as good as many franchise steak houses. Sadly I definitely can’t recommend this restaurant.
Best experience James the waiter was extremely professional. He gave us the best advice on the burgers. First time at this restaurant. Excellent service.
I always come to this place because the food is top tier, but a week ago I took a train to the city just to eat here and found out that the outdoor dining section is now considered indoor (even if it's barely covered as I was told) and proof of vaccination is required. I honestly wished they had mentioned this before I got there and the hostess was so rude! Girl needs to control her attitude like sheesh I came here to have a good time and a good meal and she killed the vibe. They need to fire her after giving such a passive aggressive tone and nodding her head no like a bobblehead maniac, and I have to thank the waiters for being so kind and understanding when I asked them about this. Anyways, if you're looking to eat the same quality food and honestly a friendlier environment, head to the Petit Boucherie restaurant which is only 3 minutes away!
Lunch for 3- everything was delicious! Butternut squash soup, chicken paillard, mesclun greens salad with goat cheese- we’ll seasoned, well dressed, everything was perfect! Friendly staff and lovely French setting!
Such a great dinning experience! I came by myself for a late dinner and my server Akin was so knowledgeable about every question I’ve asked. A stunning place with quality food and the spirit of Paris. I’ll definitely be back.
Akin was lovely! Highly recommend the Tagliatelle Ragu; it’s a sleeper hit. Wine, people and vibes are great too.
Akin was the best! The food was delicious and the ambience is great. Can’t wait to come back for more!
Okay so I’ve been here twice. Once on a Monday afternoon and the food was phenomenal. The next time I go was a Saturday afternoon for brunch, and the food was HORRIBLE! We both got the steak frites which we asked for medium well, they were well done and had no flavour. It took super long to get a waiter and even longer for our food. I guess this place is only good when they’re empty.
A great experience and overall ambience.our waiter, Izzettin was very attentive and gave great recommendations! Will come again for sure
Food was very good, I tried the duck for the first time, I mean it was okay, maybe I’m just not a duck kinda person lol
One of my all-time favorites in all of Manhattan. Service and food are always on point. Steak tartare, escargot, beef bourgogne, & steak frites are my favorites. Excellent French wine selection, as well as absinthe and cocktails. Highly recommend!
Food was OK but I found two big issues:
(1) they are not flexible at all; I'm allergic to potatoes and they told me the salmon cannot go with substitute (e.g spinach) if i don't pay extra. I had to pay $13 extra to get the spinach
(2) they are not friendly, not being able to accommodate request or recommend a good wine/menu combination.
Definitely not worth the money and will NEVER go back.
