Bakery Brewster Pastry reviews
14I live in Danbury, CT and love Brewster Pastry it's well worth the trip and my family and I go there weekly. Truly the best bakery in the Greater Danbury area.
I stop in this bakery as often as I can
Good service with a smile
Everything I have tasted never disappoints
Delicious
Decided to give the peach cake a try after seeing signs along 22.was taken back by the price. 36 dollars for a Cake. Ended up just buying a slice. What a disappointment. Peachs were so sour the cake was unedible. The bottom cookie level was tasteless.
It might be famous but it certainly wasn't fabulous.
Nothing worse than spending $40 on pastries for them to just be stale, and one of them even had mold growing on it.very disappointed in this bakery. Also, the girl at the counter can be a little nicer. This place has gone downhill over the past few years.
Easter Bread with 3 eggs. Eggs were totally raw.in 71yrs I have never seen this.
Zeppolis. 6.50 each. Neri Bakery 3.25.not coming back here!
I ordered a Napoleon cake that the owner made for my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday and it was out of this world! It was the best Napoleon I’ve ever had. Their rainbow cookies and linzer tarts were amazing too! I love this place!
Went in over this past weekend and bought a Tiramisu cake and a couple of cupcakes- they were amazing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the state of the shop and the cases. They were filled with crumbs and debris, didn't look like they had been cleaned in days and days, and then I saw a dead fly. Not in the case I picked my desserts from, but the one straight ahead when you walk in. If this bakery wasn't recommended, then I would have walked out, but I would have felt bad if I did that. The shop needs a good scrubbing, especially if you're selling food!
Fabulous artisan breads, pastries, cookies, you name it. The bagels are to die for! Savory meat pies and empanadas. My go to spot!
Overpriced, didn’t taste good, looked bad too.
We couldn’t give them away and they were free.
We ordered a dessert tray with cake pops.
This is a wonderful bakery with a full range of delectable goodies. We regularly buy the French baguettes. The croissants are excellent, as are the apple turnovers. We also love the cheesecake and the marble cake. Their specialty are the seasonal fruit cobblers, be it peach, apple, or plum. There are several advantages to having them here. First, there is not another French (or even middle European) bakery in the area. The next closest is Mount Kisco. If you come in the morning you get fresh bread like you get in Paris, same smell and delight. They use less sugar than American bakeries. Plus, their prices are lower than similar regional bakeries. I am myself a European-American and this is just like home, the real deal.
Went in for a chocolate chip cookie. Although they didn't have the kind I wanted I was NOT disappointed. I got their Italian wedding cookies which are very good. The real star was this raisin cinnamon bun pastry. It's full of citrus and spice.
I can not wait to purchase another one. I wish I purchased more! So excited to have stumbled upon this place.
The owner of this shop saved the day for me quite literally! I purchased a cake from a friend of mine in Danbury, CT. For a special birthday party all the way in Long Island. Well on my journey to Long Island the cake suddenly started to collapse. I called this bakery and the owner kindly allowed me to come in. He saw the tears in my eyes, and our of kindness of his heart, he fixed the cake. He somehow miraculously made it look as if the cake wasn’t falling apart. I’m so impressed with this bakery and his knowledge in cakes. I should of just bought through him! At the end of it all he didn’t even charge me to help me out and said just pass on the kindness Thankful to of met him and I’m thankful for all his help beyond words! AMAZING OWNER AND AMAZING BUSINESS!
I just love this little pastry shop and have not been disappointed yet. From fresh breads, cakes, pies, pastry and hot soups. You will always find something delightful to try.
