Briar Patch Veterinary Hospital reviews
18I just think Dr. Rhinehart (sp?) is super. She's obviously brilliant, but she's also super-approachable, not at all like the "ivory tower" image of the brilliant doctor. What I like most is that she *knows* how precious our little girl is to us, and that it's hard to trust someone else to care for her. We trust Dr. Rhinehart, and that's saying something.
They are great, and very friendly. They were very caring when I brought my animals in. They also were wonderful when one of my dogs passed. They also know how to handle on of my other dogs as he gets protective of me, and they do his care and stuff when I'm out of the room. I'm very happy I have them caring for my animals.
I've lived in a lot of places and I've taken my animals to a lot of different vets in my life: Briar Patch is the best. I'm so grateful to have this practice in my community.
The vets and vet techs here have been great with all of my pets (2 cats and a husky), 2 of whom are very anxious travelers and anxious about the vets office. They're gentle and well informed, and have been ready to listen and help when we've needed help finding answers for our dog's allergies, which has taken the better part of a year to solve. I highly recommend them!
These guys really care about the best interests of your pets, and work to take care of the owners too. Very knowledgeable and great to work with. Have had pets my whole life and these guys are the best vets I have ever seen.
Great place, one of the best veterans I have ever been to, will be my new vet from here on out.
My English Lop, King Binx HATES me poking a prodding at him if I think something is unusual. Clipping his nails and checking teeth are always huge struggle.however, when I take him here they have an awesome chill energy and behaves wonderfully.would recommend all animals not just exotics.
I took my rat here and had such a lovely experience! It is difficult to find an appointment with a good exotics vet where I live in Binghamton. However, I was able to make an appointment here for the next day. It's clear that Dr. Vissio is knowledgeable on exotics care, and enjoys what she's doing. It was well worth the drive!
I LOVE the vets at Briar. They are also great with exotics, and my snake Boop got great care during our visit and is now on antibiotics. Thank you!
I took my dog Matilda to Briar Patch for the 4 years that I lived in Ithaca and I absolutely loved it, I wish I still lived close enough to take her there! The Vets, techs, and office staff are all incredibly nice and very professional, they were always able to answer my questions and get me an appointment anytime I needed one, especially for emergencies. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, I already miss taking my pup there!
As a vet student, I am very selective about where I take my cat. I chose briar patch because they are AAHA accredited and a certified cat friendly practice. My feisty kitty was very relaxed at his appointment and the staff and doctors are very thorough. I have recommended this clinic to my peers at Cornell.
The vet here was professional and competent.
The staff answering the phones are polite and prompt, I was able to quickly get more information about my cat and some things I could do at home.
Special dietary food was both in stock and reasonably priced.
I ended up at the Briar patch because of an emergency with our Great Dane while our local vet was out of town. I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff here was. They got me right in. Diagnosed and treated him (parasite (to a layman like myself it resembles certain death for my pup but I guess it wasn’t THAT bad). They did not try to talk me into or sell me hundreds of dollars worth of extra nonsense which is a tactic I’m unfamiliar with vets I’ve previously used. I hope you have room for us Briar Patch because I have a lot of pets and I plan to start using you in the spring!:)
I bring my senior greyhound to Dr. Rheinhart for acupuncture treatment for neck and back pain. The results have been amazing and I couldn't be happier. Brady is always happy to see Dr. Rheinhart, Tammie, Carissa, and Jon. As am I. I have nothing but nice things to say about Briar Patch.
I called Briar Patch Monday morning because my guinea pig had a cut across the top of one of his toes. They were able to get me in Tuesday afternoon with Dr. Rhinehart. I was beyond impressed with all the staff, especially Dr. Rhinehart's knowledge and attention to detail regarding my little guy. She treated him with the utmost care and compassion. I will not hesitate to bring my animals back to Briar Patch! Highly recommend for exotic pets!
Dr. Rhinehart and the rest of the staff have been amazingly patient and flexible with my large, reactive dog. Making vet visits a positive experience has been a priority, rather than rushing through procedures by force. Highly recommend for fearful/reactive pets!
The staff here are very caring. They explain all options and are non-judgmental. They took great care of our Rascal in life and in his death. Now they are caring for our wild and crazy new puppy!
Good prices. Great staff, everyone from reception to dvm was fantastic and made me feel welcome and they were fantastic with my dog who can be very scared around new people. I will definitely be coming back for any and all veterinary needs.
