Bright Horizons at Riverdale, Bronx NY

We’ve been very happy with Bright Horizons for our family. The team not only takes safety - including COVID-19 precautions - seriously, but also puts a premium on the child’s happiness and learning.

Seeing a lot of great progress at bright horizons, the daycare looks very clean and always using safety Precautions at all times around the children. And that’s what it’s all about is keeping the kids safe, I would definitely recommend my friends child to come to this daycare center

This education center is absolutely amazing. They care about all the children and the parents and they do an incredible job. My son was cared for at home until about October 2019 and he has developed and come out of his shell so much in 2 months. I can't say enough positive things about this program and all the individuals who work there. My son and I are both so happy to be a part of this group!

Preschool seems organized but the women running it are caddy, unorganized, and unprofessional. I worked here as a therapist last Spring and since the staff didn't want us in the school they got me out by manipulating the parents. And I'm not the only one. Just found out they were bullying another therapist a few weeks ago.

Seeing all the stories on the news we need to be extra careful where we send our children. And after working here and watching how this center operates behind closed doors I would not recommend sending children here.

UPDATE 4/24/19: Go to Health Dept website and review "previous inspection results". Dozens of violations/fines. Unsafe location for children.

Facility discriminates against special needs children. The staff also intimidates therapists so they don't want to go back. If you are serious about your child's success I would not recommend sending them here.

As a parent of a special needs child who attends this daycare, I have to say I was surprised by the negative review posted a day ago. My child is not only receiving excellent care, his teachers are very knowledgeable and do an excellent job integrating him with the rest of the class. I decided to send my child to Bright Horizons after touring many day care centers in our neighborhood. As an educator myself I can say confidently very few places provide the level of care and instructions that Bright Horizons offers. My child has been receiving early intervention services for a while and all of the clinicians speak highly of the center of as well. Bright horizons feels like a family, the director, teachers and staff go above and beyond to provide the best care for my child.

My husband and I are so grateful to have found Bright Horizons. We were unhappy at our previous daycare and having used Bright Horizons as back-up care in the past, we were confident switching our child.
We are impressed with the infant academic enrichment program where every day there are activities taking place such as baby yoga, music, arts and crafts, Spanish and story time. All staff members are professional and courteous. Bright Horizon's encourages parent collaborations with teachers which gives us a voice in our child's education.

My son is having a wonderful experience at the center and we will highly recommend the Bright Horizons at Riverdale to others.

We are so happy we found Bright Horizons! Our baby started at the center through the backup care program and we quickly decided to enroll full time. Everything about the center is wonderful - the director, the teachers, the environment and enrichment programs. There is clearly so much thought put into every detail. We also love the diversity at the center - it’s such an incredible community.
