Brook House Pizza and Grill reviews
16Delusions of grander. Did a local Google search for breakfast nearby. Came up with "Brook" and found a "Black Angus Romanian steak" on menu for about $20.00 (came with potatoes eggs n toast). The steak portion was disappointing to say THE LEAST. So I called, I'd rather call than write reviews. This gentleman ran around sending me pictures of steak prices - raw at market, rather then speak to me. When I finally got him on the phone, he said " we try to give at least 4 ounces of steak". Guess what? We don't care what fancy pants culinary school or restaurant u washed pots in. YOU WORK FOR MIDDLE CLASS AMERICANS. Who is ordering steak n eggs 4 breakfast? Huh? Not the 1 percent! Maybe the 10% but not again cause u screwed them out of a real meal 4 $20. Bucks. I would have been happy with a grilled Sirloin. Pull ur head out buddy an think about who your gonna cater 2 an who's gonna come back. Or set up ur fancy names with portions that seriously lack. Up to you. Ur the one who has to roll those gates down for THE LAST TIME.
Definitely not a place I will return to. Plain slice had no flavor at all. No sauce and plastic type of cheese. Sicilian also blan and the dough was raw. Considering the quality of them and the price of it and other things I saw on the menu I would definitely give this place a pass if I were you.
Cleanliness =0
Awful! Menus filthy, counters not clean.flies inside on the pizza! Yuck!
It is a very expensive place, you have to wait too long for your order and they also make your order wrong. I won't come back to this place, don't waste your time
Absolutely wonderful. The owner is schooled from Johnson and Wales and the food reflects that fact. The owner makes you feel right at home. He is a gentleman and makes feel right at home. The soups are homemade and taste delicious. The penne with vodka sauce absolutely delicious. The chicken Parmigian was perfect.the breakfast sandwiches were excellent.plenty of egg and meat on a fresh roll. The cheeseburger was a half pound of fresh real beef not frozen patties like everywhere else. It was served on a brioche bun. Everything is fresh and made to order. The food potions are generous. The Tiramisu was absolutely one of most delicious deserts that I have eaten and that was again homeade. This restaurant is a wonderful addition to our area. Try it I promise you you will not regret it. Arty thanks for a wonderful experience and see you again soon. Rey
One of the best restaurant in new york very clairvoyant staff and owner delicious food and quick service
I ordered their food from Slice app. There was an issue with Slice, but Brook House Pizza and Grill made it right, and they called me, asked if I still wanted my order, took my payment information, and delivered my order. Not only did they delivery my order- but the order was delivered by the owner. I was appreciative of their efforts and that the owner cared enough to personally deliver my order. I ordered a regular pizza, a buffalo chicken Sicilian pizza, an everything Sicilian pizza, and a chicken parmesan hero. All of it was so good. The buffalo chicken pizza had a hint of blue cheese dressing. The Sicilian pizza had a crisp outside, and light and airy inside.with tasty toppings cooked just right. If your thinking about eating here- have no doubt- they're excellent. Thank you Brook House- for amazing food that I enjoyed with my family.
Food was excellent! Delicious build your own omelet, great homefries, juicy fruit slices, special instructions always followed. On time delivery, hot & tasty!
I was driving by and decided to stop in. Had a long wait time for tuna salad (it was okay but very mayo heavy) customers before me were pretty upset about their wait time. Place seems very disorganized. Only one person in the front doing everything. Won’t be back
Did some good to go take out pizza. Very friendly staff. Very clean place. Very decent food.
I got the "Brooklyn Pizza" it was RAW I thought it was cheese at first, and I looked closer and reliazed it was raw dough. The man working thier kept saying the food was fresh. When they reheated the pizza it was luke warm don't get this pizza!
Edit. We regret to say that we will no longer dine here. After years of loyal service and a high 5 star review I do not appreciate an accusatory reaction when telling them my husband and I each found an item on our plates that did not meet cleanliness standard. We paid for our meal first so we didn't ask for a replacement meal or refund and ot was a courtesy call out to them. We didn't say anything in front of anyone to hurt their business and I'm disappointed in the experience tonight.
By far one of family favorites! The food is delicious and tastes like it came from your moms kitchen. If you love a good home cooked meal this is the place to go. Everyone works hard to keep it spotless clean and we have had their pizza, burgers, chicken, and cold cuts with Everything being so fresh. It's brightly lit and such a delightfully relaxing place to enjoy a meal with the family. The new owners really know how to run a good business and I happily spend my money at this local gem!
I've spent a small fortune as a patron over the years and one bad experience ruined all of that tonight. I bought dinner for my family as we have so many times and brought to the attention of the owner/manager that we found hair in our food. Didn't ask for a refund, didn't raise our voices. But he called out my wife stating he'd be checking his cameras. For what? You will never find us in your restaurant ever again. Incredibly sad as we prefer supporting local vs chain restaurants.
Awesome food, wide range of options. Our favorite place around for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Extremely dissapointed. I ordered Belgian Waffles, one of their breakfast “Specials, ” and for $13 before tax I got 8 old shrivled blueberries, a single strawberry sliced up, and the kicker: 3 Eggo-style thin frozen waffles that I already had in my own freezer. They were hard like cardboard. I couldn’t even eat them and threw them straight in the trash. It was also supposed to come with either bacon or sausage which, because I forgot to mention it on the phone, I received neither (person on phone should have asked me which I wanted). Wish I had checked my bag before I got home.
With how much I was charged for these and how Brookhouse presents itself as a fancy sit down eatery as well, I totally expected to get actual belgian waffles that were soft, fresh and fluffy right from a waffle iron. If something was wrong and your waffle iron was broken or something just tell the customer, but honestly the fact they had frozen Eggo waffles in their store to begin with sure is odd… is this what is normally served?
I’m not a one-off customer either, I have been ordering takeout from here for years, and have been here at least 7-8 times since the change in owners. I was enjoying their sandwiches, pizza, etc.and didn’t mind the high-ish prices because the quality on the other stuff was quite good, but this was inexcusable and they should be embarrassed to serve this for this price and quality. I may never return now.
For the owner, if you need to know who served such a dish: I ordered between 1: 30-1: 45pm on Wednesday 2/1.
Changed hands couple of times. Tried there cheese pizza today and gotta say for the price it was good
