Brookhaven Gastroenterology Associates, East Patchogue NY

The facility is beautiful, I got in very quickly and the nurses are very friendly. My gripe is post procedure. They woke me up and the doctor spoke to me for 30 seconds while I was waking up. I had so many questions. I called, waited for nurse to call back, who does but doesn’t know or have all the info. I went there for a very specific concern that still has not been addressed by the doctor. They should wait for you to come about from your procedure before talking to you, or at least get permission in advance to call your spouse so they can ask. I was happy until this point. They got me in and got their procedure money without giving me any answers or guidance. This really needs to be rectified.

My experience With this office is as follows they sent my biopsies to the wrong lab and for 1 year I have tried to get them to straighten this out, you cannot speak to a person when you go to the office. I have spoken with Lisa on the phone numerous times and Nothing is taken care of! I now have a credit report on my credit for non payment of a debt I do not owe. No one helps you and no one cares!

Dr. Pillai is a wonderful doctor who took a ton of time addressing my symptoms and answering all of my questions. He lets you speak and is very thorough. On top of that he is a very kind person. Highly recommend!

Would not recommend.not one dr here followed up for me.not a nurse nor practitioner. Only for when I needed my refill an insist on an office visit. I had to go to another dr to find a life threatening illness that was over looked completely by these "Drs" Also was over prescribed medication only the pharmacist at Walgreens caught, thankfully I stopped this before it caused more health issues for me. I called over 17 times left multiple messages not one follow up call or message even after being in the emergency room on there Recommendation. I went to dr Zucker for years this office has gone down hill since his retirement I would not suggest this place unless death was your only option.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Bajaj for a very long time and always recommended him. But since recent circumstances the office workers have become a joke that doesn’t care and likes to blame each other rather than solve the issue. Dr Sing (sorry if I misspelled it) who fills in is treating patients without ever speaking, meeting or fully reviewing the patient’s chart which is reckless and dangerous. I came to the hospital in one condition and leaving in a worse condition due to dr Sing’s lack of communication and concern. Now I need a new dr and am loosing a great one due to staffing. So turn around and run while you can!

I’ve been a patient at this medical office for over 20 years. First with dr Pastrich (retired) and now with Dr Bajaj. This is a very professional, clean, welcoming office. Dr Bajaj is in my opinion an excellent dr who really cares about me and my health. He takes great care in talking with me and explains everything very well. He is compassionate and professional and I’m very happy that he’s my dr.

I've seen PA April Bordgres twice. She lacks empathy and will not listen to you. She will just repeat what she believes and whatever you say, it will be in one ear and out the other. As someone with "13 years experience ", you would think she has some form of compassion for a patient. This is the only woman I've had such an issue with. She should not be in the medical field if she so outwardly comes off as hating her job. Maybe she should have spent more time with peopl as a child.

This office has gone downhill dramatically. The staff has ruined this practice and it's heartbreaking to see. No one picks up the phone, no one returns phone calls. In person, the staff is one of the most cold, rude, standoffish I've ever encountered. They do not care that we are chronically ill and in pain. The office staff have been contacting non-approved people with personal information of mine. I need to switch doctors as they rarely ever send in prescriptions! Or if they do, it's for a 3 month- $300 supply something the Dr just wanted to "try". Why is this staff so miserable? What is going on in this office? ! DR. BAJAJ, WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR OFFICE?

Dr. Sano was good, but staff was horrible. Had a colonoscopy and as soon as i woke up while i was still extremely groggy they rushed me out, stumbling and swaying. My wife was complaining i needed more time but they didn't care.

It’s sad to see how far down this place has gone. The staff could not care less about the patients here. From in person to on the phone, I've witnessed and experienced despicable treatment. No one returns voicemails, and when you finally get ahold of someone they put you on hold to double check those voicemails were left, which I found offensive and highly inappropriate. I understand if you need to follow up if someone is not doing their job, but not with me on the phone. All I asked for was a phone call from my doctor and I doubt I'll get that. I reminded the medical assistant that the people who call here are in pain and have chronic conditions, her attitude and cold demeaner did not change. The office is chaotic at best with extremely long lines, office staff laughing and joking around. They have instructions to wait outside the door for COVID reasons, but no one ever tells patients to come in. I will update if I get a call back from my Dr. Probably will not be returning to this office, they leave me feeling worse than when I came in.

They are so rude and they don’t gel and they don’t do they’re job plz don’t go to this place they are so rude on the phone plz don’t go.

Dr. Ajish Pillai is a very caring and professional doctor, I received the best care possible from him. I had to have an ERCP procedure done with a stent. Highly recommend him and his staff, especially Tiffany who is the office manager. Review written by patient Karen Reno

My grandmother and I had such an amazing experience with the girls that helped us out: Melanie, Karla, Christine and Pam. Highly recommend as they were very accommodating and overall provided such ease throughout the entire appointment.

I went in for the dreaded colonoscopy. I was really scared. There was a nurse in the prep department, I really wish I could remember her name but I was in quite a state, but she was AMAZING. She held my hand and checked on me several times. I have a "happy place" I go which is vacations- she told me about her last one and it got my mind off my terror. Then she must have tipped off the Anesthetist Doctor because HE chatted with me about The Cayman Islands! Like they always say, it was over before I knew it and I will not fear my next one. Good job!

If your looking fir a GI LOOK ELSEWHERE! Absolutely terrible patient care! Very unfriendly staff! My boyfriend had an endoscopy done, went back ONE MONTH later for the results, the doctor procceded to ask when the endoscopy that he performed was done, in addition to being very unclear in the results. The reception staff was very rude and unhelpful, unable.to answer basic questions about a copay, the medical assistants also very unhelpful, they just handed us papers with no instructions on what to do next! As a medical assitant myself i can tell.you this office is very poorly run!

Dr. Singh is wonderful! And Claudine is a devoted patient advocate! She helped me every step of the way to get access to Humira. Thank you!
