This was my son's first year taking part in the summer camp at Brookhaven Roe YMCA. Normally he qualifies for the extended school year program because of his autism diagnosis but this year thankfully he didn't need it so he was able to experience summer camp with a school mate and he loved it here. He was exhausted every day and passed out on the sofa. It's recess all- day, that's how he described it. The only thing is that snacks should've been free for what you're paying. And I originally signed up for transportation but no one followed up to let me know they're not offering it. Good thing my son's friend picked him up everyday or I would be stranded. Other than that this year they added a end of summer bash which was pretty cool, and added parental participation which was nice. The kids and grown ups all had a great time. They also had a taco and ice cream truck which you didn't have to pay for which was awesome and why I kept it at 5 stars because the positives outweigh the negatives. Staff is nice, responsive, friendly, and has experience with special needs kids which is important. Overall my son said he would go back next year and enjoyed his summer. That's all I could ask for.

I remember taking swimming lessons here back in the early 2010's when i was in Middle School and i had a horrible time either. The lifeguards were extremely rude especially the one who was my coach. I was taking beginner swimming lessons and she treated me like it was the army. Always yelling at me and telling me i did bad and even got physical with me at times and one time my mom wanted to come and watch me swim and she told my mom she wasn't allowed in and yelled at her to get out. I didn't go to their youth camp ever but to all the parents commenting on ther kids being treated poorly by the staff of the camp i'm so sorry your kids had to deal with grown bullies. No child should ever be treated like that especially by adults
