Brooklyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing

I would think very carefully before sending anyone to this center. If you are verbal and can move around and speak up for yourself, maybe but if you are looking for care No.
You ring the call button and no one comes you lay there in your mess for hours.
I had 20 days to get the physical therapy, they come to me and tell me on my 29th day that I would have to pay out of my pocket 164.00 a day because I had over stayed my 20th day. No one mention this when I came in, and if you are looking for help who takes the time to read the fine print in your policy. How many people have they done this too?

My aunt has been on multiple floors.the 6th and 5th and 7th they were all fine.she's on the 3rd floor.now.my only complaint is the Jamaican trap music video they play for people who are used to stuff like AL Green.guality of life means something

This is a fairly new place that is still working out the kinks. The meals needs to be warmer and better, they need more CNA's on the second floor & nurses (60 patients - have at least 8 CNA's and 5 nurses-have overlapping tours ex 7a-3p & 5a-1p) I enjoyed working with the rehab staff- they should rewarded for their efforts in getting patients better. The Nurses and CNA'S should be rewarded as well - I ran into one CNA (on the pm tour that shouldn't work with patients and I made my complaints to about her- hopefully the head nurse listen to avoid future problems with this individual)! I want to take the time to Thank the Staff for professionalism from the Cleaners, CNAs, the Nurses all the way to Therapist! Thank You at 170 Buffalo Ave

The place is clean and nice. The patients room is not really big but good enough for the nursing home. My first time going there to see a family member, the visit was great.

I was impressed with the ease to sign up for the security to visit. The building was clean and the staff very friendly

The staffs are very friendly and nice. Very approachable to ask for assistance. The staffs are very caring to my aunt and took such a good care of her. The facility are very clean and warmth. I feel very welcome to visit her. The space are very spacious. I’m really happy to pick this facility for my aunt to recover. I have to do a shout out to the wonderful staffs on 6th floor

Everyone was professional and courteous. The rehab facility was immaculate and the patients looked happy.

The place is beautiful. THE END! Staff disgruntled, Administration CLUELESS, Social Work seems worse than ever. I have complained multiple times with NO FOLLOW UP. DO NOT SEND YOIR LOVED ONES TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I am sure they are coaxing residents to write good reviews or creating fake accounts to write reviews of their own. The State, Mayor, DA, Governor, and Borough President needs to visit thos place to know what a dump it is in terms of care. There needs to be some sort of action.

My Aunt has been at their mercy for over a month. To sum up the care she has been receiving, I'll say it's terrible, unprofessional, with underlining mis-treatment. She has fallen out of her bed 4 times. She's a large woman & for some reason, they keep placing her in a twin size bed. The only food they serve her is pureed tasteless gunk. On occasion, I've visited only to find the battery missing from the television remote control, another time the T. V.needed to be reprogrammed, & another time, the remote was nowhere to be found. I've left messages to speak with the social worker on 10 separate visits, and no one has gotten back to me. Today, I finally met the Social worker when I've decided to move my Aunt to another facility. I pray that she assists in moving her to some place where there are caring people.

Mixed bag. After visiting a dear friend daily since his admission to BCRN for 8 days, I have mixed feelings about the facility. Indifferent staff, overworked and short-staffed, particularly evenings and weekends, seem to be an endemic issue for such places. My friend is elderly but still fully cognizant of his surroundings, alert, and with no communication issues (admitted for physical therapy after a fall and fractured hip). Staff often indifferent to his personal toiletries and care. Food is…. What one would expect, so no comment there. As the facility doctor said during a conversation with my friend, it could be worse.

This place doesn't deserve to have any stars! They don't answer the phone, and the operator TREVON they have answering the phone is RUDE and very unprofessional. I would NOT put my family member here. I called this place at least 15 times and have gotten NOWHERE! They need an entire new staff, starting with Trevon. I spoke with the patient advocate, Clarence, who was lovely and helpful. I know someone who has a loved one, and they HATE it. That is NO place for your loved ones.

I honestly believe the people leaving five stars work at this DISGUSTING facility. Majority of the people have said the same negative things. This is so sad no one should be treated like that.

My husband was there with Covid. The nurses and CNAs were excellent. The place is beautiful and clean. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. We almost felt like we were in a 5 star hotel! We had a lovely experience there!

My mother had just arrived at the Brooklyn Center, they treated her with such care & attention, my sister and I were very impressed. BC was recommended by a dear family friend and we're glad we followed up. First impression, BC is a very open, brightly lit, bold and modern style facility, which was very inviting. My mother's room is great, spacious, clean and bright. The manager on duty was very polite, considerate in accommodating to our needs regarding our mother and asking/answering questions in a polite and professional manner. Looking forward to seeing how well my mother' rehabilitation will go at Brooklyn Center.

As a long time daughter of Flatbush, Crown Heights Bed Study I was please to discover this facility in the heart of the community. It was clean, well kept and so necessary to support my health crisis. I am over 65 with various life challenging health concerns in addition to limited mobility. I found the staff Nurses CNA, RN Doctor, Therapist, (Rehabilitators, Administrators etc.knowledgeable and perform their jobs exceptionally well. What I have found as with any facility of this nature findling ways to improve and serve the elder and long-term care populations will always be challengeing. I have been here, a week and I am certain Brooklyn Center for Rehabilitation will meet the challenge and find ways to bring greater variety to all including it's meals if necessary.

I am please so far and qually Thank full to the Administrators and overall Brooklyn Center staff who helped in setting up all my future care appointment's.

If I could give less than 1 star to this place I would. I went to this nursing home with a broken arm n leg and almost lost my other leg due to neglect, they are unprofessionally and dangerously understaffed. The staff that is there is so overworked and stretched so thin that they cannot care for the patients properly. I was discharged with no help and no care smh brooklyn center is the bullet that keeps on going. If you love your family DO NOT send them here!
