BROOKLYN SPEED reviews
15Great garage, fair and professional. Chari paid special attention to get a stubborn tire to bead. Will def come back
First came across B/S while looking for a place to keep my bike. Not only did they accommodate my Indian Chieftain but also helped out with knowledge on the bike and helped out with any questions bike related I might have. During the time I stored my bike I became good friends with a number of guys/girls that store and repair their bikes at the shop, also seeing the huge array of bikes that came in to get fixed was impressive. They never turned down any bike that came in for repair or custom work. You name it they fixed it. Great shop with great service and people. Top notch mechanics always willing to help.
Cagri and the whole crew at Brooklyn Speed are some of the most helpful guys I've ever met. They're so good at their job that they have helped me become some sort of motorcycle mechanic also. They have helped me restore two of my old bikes, a 1975 Honda CB500, and a 1979 KZ650 - during the entire process, they made sure that I knew what was going on to a detailed tee.
Being a custom motorcycle shop first, its also really great to walk through the shop and see all the bikes they have in the works. The shop is very friendly to where you can pop by and say hello, and Cagri and crew will always take time to say whats up and maybe even have a beer with you if the weather is nice out!
Whether you have a Bobber, a Harley Davidson, a Ducati in need of service, or a custom caferacer, everyone should feel confident about bringing their bikes here for a tune up or custom work because these guys know what they're doing. If none of the above, at the least, bring your motorcycle here for the winter for motorcycle parking, one of the many services these guys also provide.
TL: DR - great people, great atmosphere, amazing prices and wonderful bikes. 10/10 would recommend!
Great experience with the folks over at Brooklyn Speed! They don’t nickel and dime and work within your budget. The service was excellent and my moto is running better than ever! Thanks Çagri and crew.
Great place to service your Moto Guzzi. Brooklyn Speed just serviced my Moto Guzzi. Owner was welcoming, responsive and detailed in his explanation of the work. He was straight to the point, fast turnaround. Overall great experience and professional service.
I would recommend bringing your Guzzi here. Cheers!
I’ve been taking my motorcycle to these guys for years, and I keep going back. I had a cafe racer Triumph that they helped customize into a beautiful ride. I eventually liked it so much that I decided to get a membership - which gave me access to tools, workspace and the knowledge and support of experienced mechanics, as well as discounts on parts and service.
Since then, I got a new cafe racer, and needed secure indoor parking - so of course, I didn’t hesitate to park that at Brooklyn Speed either. Added bonus of being a member is watching all their cool creations come to life, and learning from them as they do these classic bike and cafe builds so that I can apply it to my own bikes as I customize myself. They give top notch service from start to finish, and I recommend this shop to everyone I know.
Great service! I got my Ducati serviced here. Owner was very informative and their prices are very reasonable comparing to other shops. They pointed out everything that needs to be addressed for my 7500 mile service. I got my bike back in tip top condition. If your Ducati’s warranty already expired, you should definitely consider them for your repairs and maintenance.
Went here for service on my bike since bmw motorrad in manhattan shut down.solid crew, would recommend
Brooklyn speed helped me out with a fuel tank repair. Needed some welding done. They were quick and the work was excellent. Price was very reasonable. Shop is clean and organized. I intend to use them from here on.
Thanks!
Came here once so far a check up after the purchase. Chari performed the checkup and showed the place. Prices are very reasonable compared to dealerships and other a few places a ve checked. They provide a garage space and tools to borrow so you can work on your bike. I liked their garage, and definitely will be coming back.
Sold me a 1987 El Camino that broke down after less than 3 weeks with a blown motor.
Be careful doing business with this guy.
If you have an old bike that needs work this is the place to go, brought my 95 virago there and they did an excellent job would recommend
I would highly recommend Brooklyn Speed. I have an 83 Honda Goldwing and my local Honda would only work on the bike for very easy jobs. Brooklyn Speed took on a rear caliber rebuild job which my local dealer wanted no part of. I was riding with just the front brake for a long time. I was so happy to get this fixed and not put myself at risk over an old bike. I made a 10am appointment and they took my bike right away. Every thing was explained to me and they did what they said the are going to do. I picked my bike up a few hours later with a working rear break. I would highly recommend them. A great shop is so hard to find. They’re now my go to shop and I live on Long Island.
They have been good and fast. They were closed when I came in but they stilled fixed the leaks on my tire and the price is fair.
Came up with a ridiculous quote of $2,000 (for labor alone!) to fix my old bike that is not even worth that money. — I just needed to get it to run, but they said they had to rewire the whole bike!
They took my bike all apart and demanded $135 per hour and on top of that tried to charge me $25 per day for bike storage because I couldn't pick it up before the weekend (due to that outrageous quote).
After me paying for nothing, didn't even put the bike together—Waste of time and money!
