Browncroft Community Church, Rochester NY

For the past 16 years, my husband and I have found the Browncroft community to be a dynamic body of growing Jesus followers. Relationships and the care of one another is very evident and demonstrated by the various ministries they provide. All are welcomed!

Grateful for the relationships I have formed through the years while at Browncroft! The impact of having these people to journey through life with has been instrumental in my life and has helped deepen my faith.

Browncroft is a very cliquish church. The musical ensemble are troubled individuals and behave as if they are Hollywood actors and actresses. The pastor continues to endorse viewpoints that are contrary to everything Christians believe in (including his pro-choice stance). And it does not represent the diversity of the community in which it exists as it predominantly consists of members that are Caucasian and affluent. In addition, if you don't wear jeans and sandles, you are going to get questioned.

My husband and I have been attending Browncroft for about 15 years. We have grandchildren that have grown up in the children’s program and are now serving in that mission. Browncroft is the most accepting church we have ever attended and love people where they are. The pastors and staff are committed to serve the Lord and their community. We are in constant awe of the generosity of the parishioners and what they have accomplished. Browncroft in more than a church it is a family.

We found Browncroft when seeking a church to help us raise our children centered on Christ. Their children and youth ministries have exceeded our expectations, providing devoted leaders committed to years of serving and developing relationships with our kids. Their programs are organized, purpose driven and engaging - our kids always want to attend! Browncroft provides a large church setting which I enjoy, while creating a small church environment through serving and small groups.

We’ve been so grateful for Browncroft’s role in our transition back to NY. From the very first day we walked in, we have been warmly greeted, felt peace leaving our kids in the care of children’s ministries, and have been fed spiritually in worship and with Pastor Rob’s messages. What a joy-filled community!

I have been attending Browncroft for two years now and I have to say this church is beautifully equipped and offers a loving supportive community in so many ways. Every staff person and every volunteer is so helpful and caring for any question or direction you may need. I am so blessed to have been baptized at this church and have joined small groups that have helped me made new friends moreso family now. The community for others in growing your faith is something so special to be apart of. I came to this church alone and now I have a whole community.

After living in Denver for 9 years, I came back to Rochester a few years ago. I knew that I would return to Browncroft as my home church. It is the place where God's Word is preached faithfully without any cultural pollution and where people can get connected through small groups and a variety of ministries. When friends visit, they comment on sensing God at work in our midst. Look no further when looking for a church.

One of the things I appreciate most about Browncroft is how open handed they are. I’ve seen few churches exhibit as much eagerness to collaborate with other churches and organizations for the sake of the city.

My family and I have been attending Browncroft Community Church since we moved to the area almost 4 years ago. Browncroft has something for everyone with the goal of growing your relationship with God. Pastor Rob leads his sermons with an open heart and has a clear message that always ties directly back to Scripture. The music is phenomenal and always moves my soul as another way to worship God. The children’s ministry is out of this world - my children, which cover a large age span, always come home with new knowledge and understanding of Bible stories. Watching their faith grow as they love to attend church is more than I could ask for! Browncroft’s mission to reach others is mobilized through their multitude of opportunities to serve - whether locally or globally. In addition, Browncroft encourages and supports small groups, which creates an atmosphere of a small church feel in a large church setting. The Bible studies and small groups that I have attended here have greatly strengthened my faith and created a strong, authentic church family. I cannot say enough positive things about Browncroft - this church has truly blessed me and my family. So, if you are in the area, come and visit … you may find this to be your church family too!

I found Browncroft Community Church last year. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Now that we are in the er of Social Distancing, I highly recommend navigating your way to their website for a live simulcast of their services.

First and foremost: my prayers go out to all of us, may God touch each and everyone of you and keep you safe through this crisis! I have been attending Browncroft Community church for 2 years now. The inspiration that I have got from the church is amazing. The
messages and the uplifting songs from the bands have touched my life and helped me to be more faithful in my spiritual walk with Jesus Christ. I have been a part of this church for the last seven years since I moved to Rochester after getting married. This church serves all generations and brings them all together as well. The family ministry is fantastic starting all the way from birth up through high school but also they serve the families who are invested in these children as well which is just as important. I have made life-long friendships here and grown in my faith in Jesus through various bible studies, events, and sermons. Worship is vibrant with fantastic music that connects you more with God. I couldn't recommend this church more if you are in the Rochester area.

Unfortunately this church has transformed itself into an organization that is extremely money-driven.they frequently announce the mega-donors during the church services and give these members priority standing.they actually rank the members of their church based on how much money they have given in the preceding year.
