Bruckner Homeless Shelter, Bronx NY

This place isnt designed to help anyone. They get you in like a jil parolee, dont give any real resources, and judgemental on everyone walking in treating everyone less than human. You ask a question and absolutely no one has an answer to it. They tell you wait for a case manager, which can be anywhere up to a month before you meet your case manager. The only reason they even exist is to collect the $4,000 per person per month. If you're receiving a transfer and your kids are over 18, refuse it. You have 3 times to refuse the transfer. But it's better than coming into this jailhouse. I really hope someone burns it down but that's just me.

This is supposed to be rapid housing but people have been here for a year or more.
This place is ran poorly and they think everyone in the shelter is the same

These shelter staff members and clients get into relationships. They have favoritism against clients against staff members. Their is a staff member name Alex and he lies toward clients just to get them kicked out. His own staff members noticed his actions and didnt agree with them. My fiance and I never had any help to get an apartment. Now that we left (got kicked out) for no reason because of being accused of a lie.

Worst possible shelter, your better off sleeping on the streets.

Okay shelter but its hard to sleep when the security guards talk 24/7.

Its clean well organized shelter its run by very professional staff proud to be here. This shelter accommodate family with 19 to 23 age children
