Bruegger's Bagels, Delmar NY

Average, run of the mill bagels and service. Nothing exceptional here. Lines are long and slow. Management skills are lacking customer service skills are bottom of the barrel. Ordered ahead of time and they didn't even start the order untill I got there. "because they were busy". SMH. No wonder they are going out of business left and right.

The Delmar Bruegger's is the best one around. There is a spacious dining room, which includes a sitting area w/arm chairs. It is always clean and everyone working there is friendly. And most importantly, the bagels are fresh and delicious!

This is a joke right? I ordered a hash brown bagel with salmon cream cheese. Where is the cream cheese? I’m guessing the employee named “Ant” that made the bagel couldn’t see what he was doing since his hair was covering his eyes. Is this why they rush you to the register to pay so you can’t watch your bagel being made poorly? Ridiculous.

When I order a plain bagel with plain cream cheese I don’t want to bite into it and taste strawberry. Take another bite and i’m getting everything crumbs.takes 2 seconds to wipe off your knife?

Sometimes they don't allow the bagels to rise prior to cooking. I have received too many flat, pancake type bagels.

Mother's Day, 8: 30am, no everything, egg or onion bagels. Plain bagels were not properly proofed and looked like frisbees. Icing on the cake was that they had less than a dozen plain left. The least they could have done was let people know and not waste 20 mins in line. How are you not prepared for a holiday where people commonly do brunch? Especially given things are starting to open back up after a year of lockdown. I feel bad for the employees because management/ownership is obviously either not experienced or not capable. Used to get lured into Brueggers when SEFCU had their ATMs in store and thought they were pretty good. Won't be back again.

Pretty much just chewy bread, doesn't really taste like a bagel. Plus no egg everything? How do you not have the most popular bagel?

Overall their bagels are average. They’re not great, but they’re not bad. Everything bagel was relatively soft and pretty decent, same for jalapeño bagel. I liked that they put pieces of jalapeño on top, could have used more but good overall. Cinnamon raisin bagel was too hard on the top and bottom. The bottom basically needed to be cut off. Here’s a tip bruegers.if you add sugar to the dough, it’s going to burn more easily. Turn down the oven when baking cinnamon raisin.
Price chopper was significantly better before they started selling only in wrapped packs of 6 (COVID) and much cheaper $3.99 for 6 vs 3.99 for 3. I probably won’t be back to Bruggers, again, not because their terrible but just because I can get the same or better for less within 5min drive.

I wished there was one in the Catskill NY area. Love there bagels olive pimento cream cheese is my favorite

Painfully slow, the food we received was cold, and the server gave us the wrong bagel (which was stale). This is not New York style as they advertise.
