Hey everyone i have been many times in Buddakan since 2014.today is may 14 2021, I called the restaurant afternoon asking for a reservation for one person they told me by the phone u can come before 10 pm and we will take care of u. I was there before 10 pm and I spoke with front desk she told me we don’t have a table for u and I had a shock when I knew the manager was in front of me, she wasn’t professional and she told me I have another clients I should take care of them!

If possible get a seat at the Ballroom! It’s very luxurious and has a great vibe.

Vegetarians —> I tried edamame and carrot dumplings both are BOMB! I would definitely keep going back for Edammae dumplings until I get bored. It’s just AWESOMEEEEEE!

I also tried fried TOFU which was also good. They have another dish with something wild mushroom noodles which was great too.

Overall just amazing!

Loved the ambiance here. Was a little bummed we were sat away from the main dining room, but maybe I had to request to sit there when making a reservation. The pork buns were amazing- our favorite part of our meal! The pork lo Mein and short rib were delicious. I got the filet of beef which was cooked well; however, I think they forgot to season it! It had no flavor- maybe I was supposed to drench it in the sauce it came with? For the price, I definitelty expected more of it, but overall we liked the place a lot and the rest of the food was great!

Always an incredible experience here and so great to be back indoors. Food is amazing as always, short rib was super soft and tender, edamame dumplings are top shelf.

I found this place on munch (an app that lets you see restaurant reviews from friends instead of strangers) and I’m so glad I did!

Amazing ambience and service, yet not stand offish so you don't feel comfortable bringing your out of town Midwest parents. Waiters have expert knowledge of the menu and helped make great dining decisions. Definitely start with one app and one entre per person plus a veggie, rice, or noodle side as they portions do fill you up and dessert is too good to miss!

Upscale experience. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the vegetarian options were very limited (and also not as tasty as expected).

Beautiful classic place. Great atmosphere. We were a party of 6, everything we ordered was delicious. Will definitely come back.

Expensive but really good food, especially the starters. Would probably only order starters the next time. Big portions and good mix of dishes to choose from. The dessert was also very good and well sized.

Ridiculous ambience and menu, you will never be disappointed here. Your wallet will be mad at you, relatively speaking but the experience is well worth it. Your tastebuds will thank you

Nice ambience, lots of vegetarian options, very happy with the food and service, perfect for party, strongly recommend.

Expensive though worth. Staff was great, pork buns were the best we've ever had and was neat to sit in the same room as seen on the Sex and the City after having done the tour a few days prior.

A pretty fancy Chinese food restaurant in the heart of Chelsea. A bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion.

Absolutely amazing food and wine, and 5 star service, will definitely eat here again and always recommend it to friends visiting NYC

Food is great, but it’s feels like a tourist machine we’re the waiters run between the tables. If you’re lucky to get seats in the middle I guess it’s more “fun”.
