I never thought I would want a doula when I originally became pregnant. My friend convinced me to do some research and I realized that I really would need the physical and emotional support of a doula during labor. Once I reached out to BDS and was connected with Lindsay, so much of the anxiety and stress of the process as a first time mom was relieved. Lindsay was so kind, so knowledgeable, so encouraging and personable. I have a really hard time with social anxiety and being comfortable with new people, and she made it so easy for me to open up and talk about my preferences and fears. I went from someone who turned their nose up at doula work to someone who would recommend BDS to ANYONE who is giving birth, first time mom or otherwise. I would not have had such a beautiful and emotionally fulfilling birth experience if it were not for Lindsay. Coming from someone who lives paycheck to paycheck, I PROMISE you, the cost is WORTH IT.

Prior to the birth of our second child my husband and I sought out overnight support and we found Buffalo Doula Services, Jen and Kim! We feel so lucky to have found Kim and had her come help us in the early weeks of having our baby. Kim is so generous with her knowledge and time. And she’s so caring and compassionate. I always felt confident my baby was cared for while I was getting much needed rest so that I could show up for both of my children during the day. Kim’s help and Buffalo Doula Services have been invaluable to our family. I’ve already told my sisters when they’re ready to have babies it will be my gift to them.

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with Buffalo Doula Services and the resources provided to me during my first birth experience. Both Rhiannon (my doula) and Marissa (the lactation consultant) were kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful on so many levels. Each handled their part with compassion and understanding as well, especially in times of pain, frustration, and confusion! It is not easy navigating all the new parts to being a mom. So grateful to have had them and their expertise.

Six years ago, Jennifer Lombardo was my doula and my best friend in birth. I have not stopped singing her praises ever since. I look back on my birth experience and fondly remember the love and support I received from her. I approach motherhood with confidence in part due to the groundwork she laid out for me during our planning sessions. I was able to labor in the comfort of my own home because of all the support Jen offered my partner. She helped him help me and we are both super grateful. She has so many skills that supported our low-intervention birthing center birth goal. We had the best birth imaginable and we felt supported in the days and weeks following, too.

I am "one and done" but I still utilize many of the techniques Jen taught me to get through things that life brings. I was just using Clary sage to deepen my breath before a big presentation a moment ago!

Not only do I absolutely love the photos but I thoroughly enjoyed the support that Buffalo Doula Services LLC provided on that special day. Looking back, it was quite a nerve-wracking time and I am glad they were there to support me and capture some amazing memories.

Buffalo Doula Services was an absolute lifesaver! It’s hard having a newborn but the doulas made us gave us so much peace and help when we needed it the most! We are forever grateful for their amazing services!

I would highly recommend Buffalo Doula Services! My husband and I hired Meghan as our birth doula - she was absolutely wonderful! It was so nice to have her support throughout my pregnancy, especially her frequent encouragement and reassurance during the last few weeks leading up to birth. During labor, she was such a calm and supportive presence. My husband was so relieved to have her there! She even stopped by for a postpartum visit a couple weeks later and brought lactation cookies - yum! We also did placenta encapsulation - the cord keepsake and placenta print that Adriana made were beautiful! We will definitely be hiring Buffalo Doula Services again for future pregnancies.

I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for finding Buffalo Doula Services! My husband and I were lucky enough to attend birth classes with Jen and she was kind, knowledgeable, and professional. We also hired Meghan as our Doula and all I have to say is - wow how lucky are we? ! Meghan offered emotional support as well as evidence based information during my entire pregnancy. She is compassionate and her presence during my birth was calming and supportive. She empowers women on a whole different level! Meghan even brought us a delicious home cooked meal when she came to visit us for our postpartum follow up, we will be forever grateful for her during this time of our lives. After I gave birth things didn’t go as planned for being able to breastfeed my baby. We were referred to Marissa an IBCLC at Buffalo Doula who was able to come to our home and not only help us with breastfeeding, she also put together a plan for us moving forward for our son which was incredibly helpful. Marissa was kind and knowledgeable and made us feel confident in this new world of parenting! Thank you Buffalo Doula Services for providing so many wonderful services to our community!

Jen did our birth photos and oh my goodness! She captured every moment so perfectly. I felt like I was reliving the beautiful times of my baby’s birth. I highly recommend her for your birth photos! We are so happy we have them to cherish forever.
