Buffalo Exchange reviews
17Excellent store. Well curated collection and a joy to shop. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.we will be back!
I had such a great experience selling here! Everyone was so nice and helpful. Be sure to make an appointment before you go. Would definitely sell my clothes here again!
With a trade in credit I got a pair of madewell jeans for a dollar. Staff was all super helpful and friendly.
Excellent quality and nice checkout staff! Clean stores & great selections. Highly recommend
This was my experience today, I boutique black jacket? When will wear ist broken, I live in Nj I tried to tell them that it was broken and I had not noticed, I returned it for another black jacket, I did not put it to use. Then the manager said that it was not possible because the return is 5 days, but still I am explaining our ID that I live in NJ, and the jacket was torn, I just wanted to change it for a black one in good condition, in conclusion I did not leave them. I matter, who the hell bought a used jacket and also fix it again does not make sense. So I left them the jacket, I hope they scam someone else to cheat another customer, if you are going to sell something used but at least in good considitions, my goodness do not deceive people used and torn clothes and return for another item. I didn't even ask for money, just to exchange it for another one, but not red, that they take the money. That is called robbery, I left everything there. Swindle!
Very rude staff I spoke to the store manager and they basically told me after I told them that I was homeless and I was looking for a place to sell my expensive clothes that I had purchased previously they told me that it is not their problem and I would still have to make a unnecessary trip not knowing if that they would be able to take my shirt are not not giving me answers answers and showing no compassion For anything I had mentioned this is completely ridiculous that a place like this should have that kind of customer service if I was working there everybody would be doubt with This the same way and there would be no different treatment
If you bring clothes there without an appointment, the staff would rather do recycling than see you, so do make an appointment. I went on the weekend without appt, waited for hour then gave up left. They resell everything for so cheap anyway, I should have just gone to the goodwill.
Will not even give a star if I can, worst experience ever, packed a huge lightly worn brand clothes to sell, booked an appointment, but the train stuck, called the store to ask if I can still come, they told me to come anyways, but when I got there, they didn’t even see me, absolutely ridiculous and stupid! Very unprofessional staff there, wouldn’t never step a foot in there, don’t recommend anyone go there to sell, better donate all that clothes to goodwill or housing works as good deeds
Downright shame this chain store masquerading as “thrift” exists in NYC. You’re much better off at goodwill even, or a REAL thrift store. (They exploit sellers, staff sucks, do little for communities)
The staff works very slowly. We reserved a time but waited for 1 hour! What’s the point of making reservations?
Avoid here. Even you made an appointment online, they will make you wait for another 1 hours.slow process and waste of time.not worth the time waiting.i prob will try something sell online.def not here.
The quality of buffalo exchange has gone downhill.you can occasionally turn up something interesting at this location, but it's mostly junky mass-produced used clothing and buffalo's assorted new merchandise that increasingly clutters the racks with its "let's knock off something trendy as cheaply as possible" sensibility.since i started shopping here when it first opened, the assortment has lost most of its personality and the dedicated vintage rack seems to have vanished (i remember when a trip to this store rewarded me with funky and surprising finds). I have found the staff indifferent or even rude on occasion, more so in recent years.this branch recently opened a buffalo outlet in the back with bargain-basement prices.on the day i was there, i saw several employees in this discount corner fishing garments out of cardboard boxes marked "DONATIONS" and hanging them on nearby racks.to judge by the labeling on the boxes, they had been sent in from other locations.i don't want to make unwarranted assumptions about this activity, but it was certainly eyebrow-raising and would make me think twice about "donating" (that is, if i ever planned to sell there again, which i don't, given the buyers' apparent lack of knowledge and experience). At the very least, the optics were horrible.
Don't waste time selling here despite appointments there is almost always a wait of half an hour to over an hour which is odd because they only buy like 1-3 items, if that. Usually every other buffalo buys more and has less wait. Selection is hit or miss.
This was a wonderful find on West 26th Street. Nice selection of gentle used clothes & other items. There are several dresses I actually liked.
Broader selection here than most of their locations I've been to (even I, an old biddy, picked up a few items). Open changing rooms.
My favorite store always feel very welcome. The staffs are warm and welcoming. If the price could be 10-25% less that will greatly help. Hope you could consider that because the other thrift store one block over will have similar idea for 40-50%. Your store cleanliness and staff are great!
On a Sunday I stopped in at Buffalo 26th street NYC. I asked what they needed. Mens dress shirts was the answer. I brought 25 Men's Designer shirts in the next day. The "Buyer" then said they were full on Men's Shirts and gave me $1 Dollar for new condition designer shirts with MSRP of $70 each. I again asked the what else they needed. The Buyer then said Men's Jeans and shoes. So I brought them designer Jeans and shoes on Weds. Buyer said they were full on Jeans and Shoes and gave me $13 for a large quantity of Jeans and shoes with a MSRP of roughly $2,000 Dollars. I then asked the buyer about what my several pairs of $500 sunglasses would get me. He said they don't take Cartier, Prada, D&G and all the brands I mentioned & said Tom Ford glasses were good. This place sucks. Better off avoiding them.
