Bull and Bear Roadhouse reviews
21Lee was the best! He served out table with so much care and with great humor, we never felt without anything, he really made our night out so special! We would highly recommend him and this Fayetteville restaurant! The manager also checking on us, making sure every thing was perfect was the pudding on the cake! Can't wait to go back!
Ordered for pick up, was told it would be a 1hr wait. Arrived when instructed and had to wait an additional 20 minutes and wasn't offered any sort of compensation for the excess wait. The food itself varied from average with wings "the original Sammy" to nearly in edible in the case of the poutine which tasted like they used cheap canned gravy and dumped a whole bottle of liquid smoke on top.
Awesome food, great service, great prices. We can always get a table and love coming here. Thanks, Leiji, you rule!
First time at Bull and Bear in the Fayetteville location; side note, I just found out they have 2 more location in the E. Syracuse area and Liverpool! YOU have to go!
It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The tacos are to die for. IT WAS FIRE! The service we received was amazing and we will definitely be back again! They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. We will be traveling to E. Syracuse next! Thank you for the amazing experience!
Extremely poor experience today. Came in for a lunch after shopping, the host was chit-chatting with someone who was leaving. We did not get any acknowledgement that he'd be with us, and he actually walked away before saying anything to us. We were then told they were short staffed due to a 25 person party and it was a 15-20 minute wait. That sounded reasonable so we went back to our car. 30 minutes later we come in to once again be ignored by another host, and see that two parties who came in after us (as in we saw them park and go in) were seated and ordering. I understand being busy, but I'm questioning if this party even existed. If so I do not appreciate being slighted by wait staff, you've lost my business!
(P. S. At the time of writing it's been 51 minutes and we're still waiting for a text)
We were seated right next to the fireplace, which was lovely. The adults liked the food, but the teenagers were unimpressed. We ended up getting them something else to eat after we left. Service was slow but friendly.
I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had at Bull and Bear in Fayetteville. We were a party of 20 with 6 boys under the age of 13. Our waiter, Leiji Yeh, did a fabulous job of taking care of us and was very patient with the chaos.
The food was really good, and the place was extremely busy. I have to give coodos to the manager Michael, he was out there working hard with his staff.
What a great atmosphere, service and food. We will be back often!
Though they seem to be a big understaffed our past few visits, a wonderful waiter restored my faith in humanity last night. After a horribly emotional work day, we visited for a bite to eat and didn't see a waiter for about 15 minutes. This man noticed we hadn't been waited on, came over and offered to put in the start of our order, then ended up sticking with us. He kindly comped our first round of drinks without any prompting and brought us a dessert on the house. The encounter left us feeling extremely grateful after starting out rather disappointed. This individual's kindness meant a lot, especially when we could see how busy he had been. Thank you
Would have given 5 stars. Food and service was great, but they have the most ungodly uncomfortable chairs ever. Metal with no cushions and about as wide as an airplane seat.
Love all 3 locations but the Fayetteville one has the best bar in my opinion. Food is excellent and the burgers are delicious.
Our son introduced us to Bull and Bear over the summer and it's now a Family favorite.
Second time here, both times got burgers. Excellent cook on the patties! Some pink, super juicy, very flavorful. First time we were seated quickly and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Second visit there were many empty tables, but were told a 20 min wait. We sat at the bar to wait. The bar tender came over and asked if we wanted to order food. Heck yes! Regular fries very delicious. Garlic Parm fries were dressed with the bottled minced garlic that I can't stand. Sweet potato fries also very tasty. Excellent place when you're hankering for a burger!
Bull and Bear is our favorite place for date night dinner! The food is amazing and the prices are great. The restaurant itself is a little loud but it's part of the charm. Big bar to order drinks from and service is great. We've never had a bad meal here!
Unfortunately, we were never served. We waited over 40 minutes for 2 burgers. We were kept being told, " I put a rush on it, " but never came. No one acknowledged us to even take our order initially. We just left after being ignored.
Ok. First time here. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY! I regret not taking a picture of our food, but we were too busy eating it! They were good to this southern girl and put my original BBQ sandwich on CORNBRRAD like any good southerner knows is the best way to eat it! My buddies had the dill pickle wings and were literally savagely growling as they ate them! Go here. You will not regret it!
A friend suggested lunch here, and it did not disappoint. The menu had many different delicious looking options that made it hard to choose! The sweet and salty dessert was a no-brainer for someone who loves chocolate! The waitress was attentive and kind. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I definitely recommend it!
I tried the pork ribs with their special house sauce and for sides I tried the Mac salad and the loaded salt potatoes. The ribs were absolutely delicious and were so soft that the fork could cut through them like butter. Both of the sides were very good as well. The Mac salad was different than any I've tried before and tasted like it had a light balsamic glaze on it (which doesn't sound good, but it definitely worked).
This Is really more of a 3.5 than 4. I will say that the service here is better than the one on Oswego Road in Liverpool. If you want to be ignored by a bartender, go there any Saturday evening. I used to like Bull and Bear, food was always good, and they always had interesting burger combinations and wraps.
My wrap was good, not stellar, but good. The server was very friendly and offered good service.
However, the experience was somehow very pedestrian. In fairness, my experiences at their Liverpool restaurant have probably affected my opinion.
Good service. The place wasn't very busy (late afternoon on a Sunday). Excellent burger and fries pickles were good (although I'm more accustom to fired pickle slices. Here they fry them in spears.)
In town for a funeral stopped in for old time sake and as always, bartenders were wonderful, we met a couple of really nice people at the bar. Always love being in what I consider a Hometown.
