Burgerology Astoria

One of my favorite places in Astoria. I usually ordering from this restaurant and they never make a mistake.

I feel like they are short staffed. Waiter was pleasant but he was wearing two hats last night as he was also bartendering. Our appetizer was a bit lukewarm and our burgers were a bit dry and actually messy to handle. Perhaps trying something different, not going when it's not busy and having more people working on dealing with tables might have made for a better experience.

I will give it another shot sometime.

Nice neighborhood burger place, they have a huge selection of burgers and beers. The food was enjoyable, but took a bit of time even though wasn’t really packed. Definitely worth a visit.

Friend’s birthday dinner. Overall, the food was great, reasonably priced. The drinks were not, on both counts. And the bathroom was mortifyingly filthy.

However, the most ridiculous thing were the fees on the bill. As a group we always tip 25-30% depending on the service. The bill comes and there is a default 20% service charge already included, followed by % suggestions additional tip. If you’re going to have a default minimum, just raise your prices? Not even just that, there was an additional 3% credit card fee. So before we even touch the bill to add a tip, the bill is 23% higher. With tax 32%.

And no, none of this was communicated before dining. In clear print, the menu states the gratuity minimum is applied to parties of 6 or more — we are 5 people. This kind of thing gets a 1 star review out of principal. Raise your prices and pay your staff. Tacking on these fees (and not even following your own policy when doing so) is just grimy. Shame.

Honestly if you want a burger, beer fries and milkshake fix go here. The fix was definitely satisfied and the portion was large enough to take home for tomorrow seconds. The Bavarian pretzel combo is huge for 3-4 ppl and is delicious, I highly recommend. The service was quick and accommodating. They also play different sports on and I was watching Chelsea vs Arsenal. I will be returning.

Great burgers and shakes. Fried chicken sandwich with Mac n cheese was really good, and super filling. Also like the Chipotle Fries.

This was the worst spot to attend, I had to get up to get my own utensils, napkins, ketchup, go to the bar to get my own drink cause the waiter never checked up on us. We were a group of 6 people. Please don’t come here if you think you will gain a good experience.

Great time at Burgerology. My first visit to a different location and was pleased to see the familiar menu, atmosphere and food was spot on!

We had no issues getting a table, probably could've just walked in even with it being Valentine's Day, but the reserve a table feature on maps is pretty efficient. Everyone was super friendly, we were greeted as soon as we walked in.

The food was pretty good overall, but it could do with a bit more kick to it. I got the Atomic burger medium rare with an added egg and bacon jam instead of bacon. The service was, they accidentally left off the egg and immediately replaced the burger when I realized. I also got the Chipotle fries as a side; I put some of the jalapeños from my burger on top and that really put the fries over the top for me. I wish I'd asked if that was an option, but I'll just save that for next time:)

I got the Cookie Doughnut shake and mostly loved it. The shake itself is so good with the pieces of doughnut blended in, but the doughnut on top was refrigerated cold. It would've been nice if it was fresh but I could also see why it wouldn't be fresh and hot.

My partner loved his Kobe burger, won't stop talking about it! The mac & cheese balls I got were better than his mac & cheese side, I think the side could've done with some bread crumbs or something.

One of the best burgers I’ve tried. The people was so kind and helpful. I super recommend it!

Will never step foot again in there again. On august 21,2023 around 7: 20 pm went inside and was seated a party of three. Was given water and that was that. The servers acted like we didn’t even exist terrible service. I ended up leaving by 7: 45. No one even stopped us on the way out lmao. If I could give them a zero I would. Watched others get drinks also. Totally unacceptable service.

Burgers are not the only thing to love at this place I had a chicken sandwich and it was outstanding and you can never go wrong with an oversized drink

Honestly took me by surprise when one of the make your own burger had the option of
Waygu/Kobe meat as a burger option
I like the selection of:
Meat
Cheese
Extras to add on the burger
The fries are very good (recommend the loaded fries)
The milkshakes are absolutely good
Great place if your looking to chill eat and talk with your friends
Or even family

The waiter were honestly awesome and friendly

The Food is amazing. The staff is fantastic. It wasn’t a long wait time for a table either. It’s a must eat spot. I would eat there again.
