I recently purchased a clarinet through Liam, and I must say, his expertise in selecting an incredible instrument and fine-tuning the initial setup exceeded what I could have even hoped for. The attention to detail and commitment to quality make him THE top choice for anyone looking to buy a clarinet or get an instrument repaired. This was a very personalized, high-quality experience. Liam recently did a COA on my Buffet R13 A clarinet and few hours of work on my Bb clarinet, and the results exceeded my expectations. I feel like I'm playing brand new instruments! The pricing was reasonable and Liam worked quickly and was flexible to accommodate my schedule. I highly recommend!

Liam is amazing! Not only did he work wonders with my A clarinet (a nice but old R13 in need of adjustment), he is a pleasure to deal with in every way — honest, kind, and attentive. Liam did outstanding work on my A & Bb clarinets. Each one had intonation and mechanical problems which Liam corrected beautifully. He pays attention to each thing you ask him to do while also listening to every detail of each instrument.
The result is great sound top to bottom, quiet keywork, and confidence that the instruments will not get in the way of me playing at my best. He doesn't stop until he is satisfied with the result.

I just picked up my clarinet from Liam after getting a COA. My instrument hadn’t seen the hands of a repair technician in about 10 years and Liam quite literally brought it back to life. It’s a night and day difference (as you can see in the before and after photo) and it plays like a brand new instrument! I can’t possibly recommend him more!

He had plenty of stock of all the different models of Buffet Crampon clarinets. He is kind, patient, and extremely knowledgable. Additionally, because he is a great repair technician and active performer, I found that Liam was full of clear insight for all the different models and tendencies for each clarinet in the shop. Not only is Liam an incredible and beautiful clarinetist, he also knows the instrument literally inside and out. Liam has studied repair with the best of the best and everything he does improved the horn immensely. I have never experienced such a drastic and beautiful improvement to my horns. Liam is the only craftsman I will ever work with. He is the answer to everything you need for a great clarinet experience!

I cannot overstate the incredible work that Liam did on my Bb and A clarinets. They are both older horns, Bb 1984/A 1974, and I knew they needed some work, but just wow. The subscription option that Liam offers is a game changer and I was able to get both of the clarinets COA’s plus a little extra, and it has changed my view on how my clarinets should feel and sound forever.

Purchasing my first Buffet Prestige Low C bass clarinet from Liam was an excellent experience! I was coming from out of state, and so there was quite a bit of communication back and forth to set up the appointment. Liam was always quick to respond, flexible, and transparent with all information. Arriving to his store was easy, even for someone visiting NYC for the first time - it’s in an excellent location near many subway stops. Upon arrival, Liam had the bass clarinets set up and ready to go, so all I had to do was give them a try. As an excellent clarinetist and teacher, as well as technician, Liam was able to offer helpful advice while I was trying the instruments, and I appreciated that he play tested some of them along side me.
Aside from the purchasing process, I enjoyed learning a bit about the bass clarinet supply chain from Liam, as well as hearing about his career and musical journey. Ultimately, I appreciated having a kind, helpful, understanding, and thoughtful musician to help me through the experience!

There was an issue with my bass clarinet that another technician in town (I won't say who.) was not able to address properly, but Liam was able to identify the issue and resolve it properly (as opposed to more of the "band-aid" fix that the other technician had done)

I’ve known Liam and have been taking my clarinets to him for a few years now. Liam is one of the nicest guys out there and my experience with him has been nothing but great. He is very passionate in his craft and has a big heart in wanting to help individuals in the best ways possible- not to mention that he is a fine technician. Go see Liam if your clarinets are hurting!
