Everything here is always so fresh! The owners are so on top of the quality of what they sell is not even funny, i just had the most delicious juicy beef and lamb kabob, tasted like homemade. Not gamy not garlicky just perfect amount of flavor and nothing overriding the taste of good quality of meats. That’s what I look for. I don’t need to eat over spiced meats that are being kept uncooked for days in salt and garlic. I want freshness and taste and this place is always good that way. I highly recommend.

Food is delicious, lunch special is a great deal, and the workers are very kind. Easy and quick to order and nice looking interior.

Wow, lunch special price increase by 25%, that’s crazy! They used to have a good deal for different pita sandwiches. Now they have painted over the price on the menu outside, and the special is now $15! I am going to stick with Niko’s souvlaki on Ditmars. I can get a better pita sandwich for $11.95, that has fries inside of it. No soda, but I don’t drink soda anyway…

The food is good a bit overpriced especially when you’re Cypriot or Greek.

There is a chance that there might be a bit of the wooden stick in your souvlaki, so be careful (see picture).

So here's another 5 star rating I H⁸ ²give them out b/c it's like something must be wrong right? Nope absolutely THE best Gyros in N. Y. C.hands down! I honestly didn't know that a gyro could taste that damn good ppl! I went with my daughter and it was her first gyro ever lucky her b/c she didn't have² sift through 40+ years of in hindsight gyro garbage to luck up upon BZ's it's so good! I'm sorry I don't normally get this excited over food

First off, the food is amazing, and it is definitely the best Gyro spot in NYC. When you walk inside, it's not like a packed restaurant. The decor seems to be modern realistic. Very child friendly. Definitely recommend tourists.

My wife and I ate outside. I had pork she tried chicken gyro. Her chicken was not that good very fatty and poor cuts of chicken. My pork I was expecting better. Not that much pork and on the dry side. Took a Greek salad home.it was just OK. As for being the best gyros in NYC I will still be on the lookout.

Service was good food was bland and over priced and plus 1 dollar extra for tazikki.what a disappointment because this use 2 be a great place 2 eat.guess thier is new management.

Wish I had taken photos of my gyro before I ate it but was too hungry! Close to the real deal in Greece. Tzatziki was on point!

Best gyros ever! My fave is the pork one. The gyro platter is perfect to share. Ive been eating there for about 9 years, never dissapoint.

Oh the falafel was so good.
Inside is just your average diner in Astoria. Having lived there previously, I know that's a high enough bar.

I ordered falafel platter but the hummus and falafel did not taste good. I mean if you are trying to find authentic falafel and hummus then definitely you should pass. The fries were good tho. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Honestly I don’t know how to express how good this place is. We’ve had it over 50 times and the quality has ALWAYS been 10/10. It’s the BEST of the Best of Astoria Greek and that’s saying a lot. Get the mixed grill platter for 2 and enjoy the culinary gates of heaven.
