Cafe Colette reviews
17The taste of the food was very good. The quantity of the food was small in relation to the price.
Great cozy feel to this restaurant. My girlfriend and I came here for dinner and got the fish tacos and grilled octopus. The octopus was fantastic but I just wish the potatoes were a little more mashed but other than that it was a great plate. The fish tacos were perfect. I can tell that any meal would be great here
Discrimination.
I have been coming to Cafe Collette with my service dog for years. Today, I went in to meet my sister. The male at the cashier (seemed like the manager) harassed me a couple times about the validity of my service dog, even when I offered to show proof of certification, which is not required by law.
After reluctantly letting me enter, I went to my table and my sister greeted me and my service dog, who greeted my dog. Immediately, he came up to me in front of everyone stating "service dogs cannot be petted. " First of all, that's untrue. Service dogs should not be pet by strangers because they are working dogs; however, they are allowed to receive pets from family members with permission from owner.
I felt uncomfortable and discriminated against and this was very inappropriate. Management needs to have a chat with him about the laws. What he did by approaching me and interrogating me about the validity of my well behaved service dog is against the law and he needs to learn.
The space is larger than I thought as we sat in a back room that was reminiscent of a greenhouse. The space filled up which was nice to see!
The staff was friendly and the drinks were delicious (one of the best bloodys I’ve had in a while). The food portions are (for the most part) quite large so prepare yourself. For what you get, the pricing is very reasonable.
I would cafe Colette as a comforting easy brunch spot!
Went to Brooklyn on a weekend getaway and stayed in the North Williamsburg neighborhood. Went to Cafe Collete for breakfast and ended up coming back twice more. Cozy Parisian style spot with great cocktails and good food - great burger! Friendly and warm ambiance/local hangout. Reasonably priced and in a walkable area with many other bars and restaurants. Great place to stop if you are on a crawl or starting the evening.
Really nice place for drinks and dinner. Vibe was great and the service and food were good too!
Had brunch there on Sunday. Good food & nice atmosphere. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the mimosas. When I got my bill they charged $15.60 for each mimosa.
Definitely a price gouge for orange juice & cheap champagne!
The chicory & fried chicken salad is the GOAT. I lived in the neighborhood a few years back, but returned (from out of the country) just for this salad. Luckily, it was as good as I remembered.
Great food, great staff! French toast is insanely good but so is the baked eggs, croque monsieur, the coffee. I doubt there's a bad item on the menu.
Called in advance and was told we could put our names down and that out wait would be 30 minutes. Even gave them my number. I get there and the host looks around and says it’ll be 30 minutes. I just walked away. Food looked good and the place was busy but I didn’t appreciate that they wasted our time. Just say we have to go in person to reserve next time.
I hosted my best friend’s baby shower here in the GORGEOUS garden room (30 people max) and I can’t rave enough about how wonderful the experience was. The food was impeccable, the venue was beautiful and the service (mostly due to this magnificent man named Oscar) was so accommodating and helpful. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Fantastic service in a small, delightful neighborhood spot. Food was delicious. We'd the buratta, grilled octopus and mussels-all hit the spot.
Excellent burger. Love the fish tacos. Just a great neighborhood spot for lunch or dinner.
Very expensive for tasteless food. I spent more time adding hot sauce and salt than I did eating. That being said the service was fine and it had a nice atmosphere. The food seemed healthy but lacked flavor
Good spot very well attended. Came on a Saturday around 11am. No wait, good food and fast service.
Got the Banh Mi and was surprised at how good it was for not being a Vietnamese restaurant. The sandwich was super flavorful and filling! Will be coming back
Quintessential neighborhood spot. The staff is friendly and caring as family and you're family cooked this well then count yourself blessed.
