Café Grumpy - Lower East Side reviews
16This was my go to spot for a bit but the guy that works the afternoons is terribly rude.like shocking.sad for him tbh but also not worth dealing with that energy when i can go to so many other places.
Awful rude staff. Go to any of the dozens of code shops in the area. Coffee is good but others have caught up making going here not recommended
Always good and quick service. Prefer it over the majority of the coffee shops in the area.
If the manager (lady) or the guy with curly hair take care of you will be and amazing service. But if the BOLD GUY sell anything to you check the prices because he changes the prices and he is rude. Small cooffee size for $7
Really good coffee. When I'm in the city, I always go to a Cafe Grumpy. I have tried Blue Bottle and a few others, but nothing is better than Grumpy.
Overpriced, bland basic ice tea; barista has a bad attitude; atmosphere is cramped and unwelcoming. Stay away.
Adorable little coffe shop by the park. I was in the neighborhood for work and stopped here. The barista was so friendly! Not much in the way of indoor seating though, so plan to take it to go
Store can only fit 3 people in it max. They can't keep track of who is next and the customers act like they are getting methadone. And the coffee is not that good. Go further down the block and you will find better atmosphere, customer service and quality.
Used to be a regular but I will not be coming back here again.
Very good coffee, great atmosphere close to the park but also very expensive, would not get it frequently
Got coffees here four mornings in a row, and all was fine until Tuesday, May 16 when the employee refused to put lids on the coffee, despite that he did it the morning before, as did two other employees. He also screwed up my order, putting milk in the wrong cup. Also, after reviewing our bank transactions, we were charged $9.71 on the first morning (05/13), and $9.17 all the rest of the mornings, despite that we ordered the same thing every morning. Don't tip until after being served.
My favorite coffeeshop in the city! Been going here ever since i moved here and every barista i’ve gotten the pleasure to interact with has been absolutely lovely, something i don’t really get from other shops in the area.very chill energy, and the coffee is to die for, especially the chili mocha and the cold brew!
Excellent coffee. Vegan friendly snacks available, fresh, so get there early by evening they're sold out of most bakery items.
The barista here is really nice and you’ll notice he’s interested in the coffee making, also the type of lattes they have are really tasty and interesting
My favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. Drinks are consistently good and the service is great!
I really like the Pumpkin Butternut Spice Latte with oat milk here. The spice is just the right amount and the oat milk adds a delicious creaminess. Love that they don't charge extra for non-dairy milk substitutions. Also, if you bring your own cup/mug, you get $0.5 off! Barista was very warm and friendly as well.
Very heavy on the clove in the oat dirty chai.pretty grumpy barista but i guess thats the point.nice
