Cafe Madeline reviews
21Good food at the right price, nice place indoor and outdoor sitting. Strongly recommend for brunch
Great food, love the service, vibe, and environment. The food is so delicious. Highly recommend
The coffee was outstanding! The pancakes were good. The smoothies smell incredible! Little pricey
The food was excellent. It was absolutely perfect from the drinks to the dishes. The pancakes were amazing and so was the other dish that I tasted. The drinks were equally good, nice and fresh. The atmosphere was good. It felt like you were in Park Slope instead of Flatbush. The service was good too. Honestly 10/10
The service & the coffee was good but the music was extremely loud to the point that it became unenjoyable to sit there & had to asked the barista to lower the volume & by the time I left the establishment I had gotten massive headache. The person in charge of the music should have a little more common sense & understand that loud music, specifically loud non-soothing music is not enjoyable! Makes no sense to have music blasting on a place whereby people are supposed to come in to have a coffee, chat and relax. I personally couldn't even hold a normal conversation without having to shout across my table!
I have been going to Cafe Madeline for many years. It is cool neighborhood spot. I usually order to go…all good! Yummy + Healthy!
I love this place, I've been coming since it opened, closed and then opened again. Whenever I want to treat myself to a good breakfast I go to Madeline. And their coffee is the best.
Great food, awesome options, one of the better places I've gone to recently.
I highly recommend it.
Can get a little noisy, the decor isn't fancy but it's clean.
You'll probably go there and say damn I'm glad I ate here
The place is upscale, but the listed telephone number is non working, and that's a hige problem when a potential customer has questions. This needs to be addressed immediately.
Love this place, it has such a cure vibe and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the lobster grilled cheese!
Super nice little spot, bright atmosphere with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Easy spot to grab food/coffee and get some work done.
My actual favorite neighborhood cafe. Food is always fresh, local, and unbeatable. Incredible menu, lots of options for vegans/vegetarians. A whole smoothie menu and a zillion different coffee creations!
The worst croissant I’ve ever had. It was stale which is weird because I would’ve assumed a $6 croissant would’ve been fresh for the day. Everything is wildly over priced and is obviously done so to take advantage of the lack of leisure cafe in the area. It’s so disgusting to see how much they want ppl to pay for mediocrity in this neighborhood.
Cafe Madeline is a charming culinary gem that offers a delightful escape in the heart of the city. The cozy ambiance and elegant decor create a welcoming atmosphere for diners. The menu is a fusion of classic and innovative dishes, each one crafted with attention to detail and flavor. From the delectable pastries to the savory brunch options, Cafe Madeline's offerings never disappoint. With its warm service and delectable treats, it's an ideal spot for indulging in a memorable dining experience.
I often stop here for a coffee and a pastry on my way to the train. It's a little pricey but everything I've tried has been SO GOOD! Their cinnamon buns are legit some of the best I've ever had. I really like the lemon pound cake as well. Not to mention the staff is always friendly and seem like they really enjoy working there, which is a rare joy to see. Even when there's a long line at the counter (which there often is!) it moves quickly. The hot food I see people having at the tables all looks amazing too, although I haven't had a sit-down meal here yet. This is easily one of my favorite places in the neighborhood so I'll definitely be back to try those too.
Great place with great food/owner but sometimes they confuse me. For example their BLT doesn’t come with lettuce or tomato.apparently unless you specify? When I asked they gave me a bowl of this. Strange
The place seems to be Extra busy,
HUGE AND VERY CONFUSING MENUE!
I DIDN'T FIND IT VERY ORGANIZED!
BUT THE FOOD SEEMS TO BE FRESH AND GOOD
It was my first time at Cafe Madeline. My best friend recommended them very highly so I was excited to try their mango lassi. The first thing we noticed was the lack of customer service, the two individuals behind the counter, predominantly the shorter one in glasses, were not very kind to my friend and I.
I ordered the mango lassi and ended up not liking it but I was hungry so I took a few sips while my friend and I were waiting for our food. I went back to the counter and asked the shorter individual if I could kindly get a refund or a remake because the drink did not taste like a lassi, and believe me I have had my fair share of lassis at various different spots across Manhattan and BK. I used please and thank you as needed.
He proceeded to tell me that, “no one else had ever complained about the drink” so he didn’t see why I was complaining. I told him that it did not taste like any lassi I had had and could I please get a refund (cause at that point I had had enough of him and the chef talking about me in another language). He told me the mango was fresh so maybe that could be the reason why it tasted the way it did. I told him, regardless of the fresh mango, the lassi did not taste like a lassi. He rolled his eyes at me, went to the register and basically threw the $13 on the table. Another gentleman who was standing behind the counter, picked up the money and handed it to me. I thanked the gentleman who handed me the money and left.
The food is apparently very great but unfortunately (for me at least,) great food and good customer service go hand in hand.
This little gem was in plain sight of me for years and never thought to stop inside. One day I decided to stop by and from since then I've been coming here ordering the same dish. Their food is great. My usual dish is the Lobster bowl, which is absolute btw. Definitely recommended.
Butch white chick there is rude. Other staff is super nice. Won't return til she finds another cafe to be an ogre in
