This is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn, not just Crown Heights. I took my lady there and we enjoyed the vibe, scrumptious food, cool Afro beats playlist, and solid service. I'll definitely be returning to try more deliciousity (yes, I just coined that term) throughout the menu.

The food was excellent but the service was not that great. One of the waiters was not super friendly when talking to us.
We also paid 15$ of service fees and we don’t know what for. It doesn’t reflect the welcoming vibes I experienced in Senegal!

The cocktails were delicious!

After several visits, this place is always solid. Food is consistent and the Senegalese-French style is spicy and amazingly delicious.

SERVICE FEE AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED BIT SERVICE IS PROVIDED
The food was good (fried calamari, grilled gambas, Dix burger, Dibi Sénégal, apple pie, chocolate lava cake) but the service was inexistant… nobody checked on us to see how we appreciated the food or need anything, one of the waiter had a beanie and his hoodie hat on the whole time (with the mask, we could barely see his face). At some point they turned the music on but it was unnecessary very loud… on our way out, nobody acknowledged us, no good bye, no thank you… they automatically add a service fee to the bill, maybe that’s why they don’t care about the service…

Good food but bad vegetarian options. For whatever reason the vegetarian option is a mini-serving of food even though it's the same price it's probably around a quarter of the calories as the other entrée options. It seems like they got lazy and just made the gluten free, vegan and vegetarian option one dish and also decided it should be half the size of the other entrees.

The bread pudding was great but this place is not really an option for vegetarians. If I had to guess they don't eat their vegetarian options and if they do they must weigh about 90 pounds.

True neighborhood gem serving up Senegalese deliciousness (read: fusion between West African and French cuisines)!

Empanadas and the Lamb Chops were my personal favorites. The hot sauce was SO GOOD!

Restaurant sits in a cozy space on Bedford Ave with Senegalese music playing throughout. Quality service.

Definitely worth a visit — spots like this are what makes Brooklyn food so unique and fun!

I’ve been here a few times and each time my experience was great. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been good. The fataya and spring rolls are my favorite appetizers. The Dibe Senegal and Mafe are the best entrees that I’ve tried so far (no pics because I was too hungry lol). Be sure to check out the very cute shope next door, Marche Rue Dix.

5 Stars forsure! Drinks were phenomenal on top on the humble portions per dish, had the Veggie Stew which was a perfect Winter dish. Do not miss out on the Senegalese Empanadas either. One of the best meals in Prospect Heights

I really enjoy this place. It’s such a great local spot and a great place for community gathering. The food is actually the service is great. Definitely recommend if you’re visiting the neighborhood and want a local field and eatery

Great place to eat if you into seafood. The food is awesome and customer service is great. I did the outside dinning during COVID 19. Lots off sitting areas to eat. The workers are very courteous. Food is type of pricey but it'd worth every penny. If you're into creole and Haitian food then it's your place.

My friends and I (party of 9) were actually pretty disappointed by the food here. A lot of the food was bland and over hyped. The calamari was very dry and not flavorful, the sauce helped since it has a nice spice. The chocolate lava cake was pretty good but small. The service was great.

Dollar store hamburger buns on a twenty dollar burger.

I looked at pictures of the food online and what I was served looked nothing like their Instagram. The service was very slow and lazy.

I’ve been to Cafe Rue Dix several times and enjoyed my meals. This experience was so bad, however, that I will never come again. The worst part: the rotten fish that was served to us.

It started with a messed up drink order: my friend ordered a cocktail and was brought the wrong one. When we pointed out the mistake, he simply never returned to bring the correct drink.

Then we ordered the branzino. When it turned up our whole party commented that it smelt off. I tried it and almost gagged - completely rotten. The waiter came by and we told him the fish was off. He left it on our table and went away, then came back and simply said “would you like to order something else? ” Zero acknowledgement that we had just been served a rotten fish. We were never brought additional plates. We ordered the lamb to replace the fish and the lamb was 90% bone, 5% fat and 5% tough grizzly meat.

The table next to us also ordered the branzino and sent it back because theirs was rotten too!

Then the bill came and the fish was left on the bill. We told the waiter we would not pay for the fish and he corrected the bill for us. We never got an apology for being served rotten fish.

Inattentive/poor service, overly salty pasta, and hard grilled chicken on the salad. We had to call the waiter over for water and to take our order. We only got the pasta and the salad, and neither were great.

The ginger juice was good, though. As was the outdoor seating.

I had the lamb. The flavor was ok I took some home and didn't eat it for 2 days. That's when it was good. Marinate people marinate. The ginger juice was great. I asked for it with a little hibiscus. It just didn't feel as though I was eating authentic African food. Oh that couscous was terrible.

The food is very good. I had the spicy poulet sandwich at brunch and it certainly was spicy and tasty. The service is friendly and efficient. That being said, they charge a 12 percent covid service fee and when I asked, I was told the fee goes to the restaurant, not the waitor. So if you don't want to stiff the waitor just be aware that to tip appropriately. I do understand that it's been a tough time for restaurants and I do hope this place continues to be in business.

Cafe Rue Dix is amazing! Will be back! The food was delicious with good portion sizes. I had the Thiebou Jen and my friend had the Branzino Grille. We both loved our dishes. Our least favorite item we tried was the beignets—they were chewier than I’m used to rather than soft and airy. We were stuffed and satisfied afterwards. The atmosphere is nice and they have a cute shop adjacent to the restaurant (it was closed by the time we were finished eating but we looked through the window).

We heard the food is good. Got here Friday 9.28pm and we were turned away because "the kitchen is already closed"? Even though they're open till 10pm don't waste your time
