Had the WORST experience in NYC here. Had to negotiate for a while with the manager to cancel from the check a drink dropped by accident in front of the waitress. You leave tips when you are happy for the service - or at least not unhappy - which was our case. Don’t expect to get tips from your customers (that you obviously don’t care) with such a rude attitude the entire night! So we decided to not leave tips to the waitress and she went CRAZY, telling us « f_ck you all », showing her finger to us, throwing away my friends credit card on the table, and leaving us like that.

Stranded at cafe select yesterday after a long day of walking around New York. A cozy and cozy café restaurant with a German / Swiss look. The shrimps beforehand were heavenly, a delicious bottle of wine completed the starter. The main dish, the pasta with mussels and the hamburger, were also delicious. The service was extremely friendly. A very successful evening and definitely recommended for people who want to escape the chaos of the city and enjoy a quiet dinner. Keep it up!

The cheese fondue was so amazing and the raclette! The staff were super friendly and attentive even though the place was busy. Would definitely recommend for the ultimate fondue experience!

Went to Cafe Select multiple times. The hostess is great! Some of the servers are super nice and fun. We tried multiple dishes. The spatzli with wild mushrooms, the burger, and the apple strudel were all great. The bratwurst was a little too soft for us. My personal favorite was the apple strudel which is huge and delicious. Unfortunately they don’t have it every day but I highly recommend to try it if you can.
