Calarco's Restaurant & Lounge reviews
17Went there a few years ago for the first time. Very nice, great food. A man did a reverse Cinderella story that we have talked about forever, we would love to come back when he is there. Any idea of what I am talking about?
A hidden treasure in Westfield, located off Main Street (Route 20). Fourth generation owned business, nice cozy atmosphere.
The portions are nice and large, compared to other places, and the staff is so friendly and courteous, making sure our wine and drinks were kept full. I had the eggplant Parmigiano with spaghetti, oh my.fabulous! The bread is fresh and homemade, and the chocolate pecan pie is tremendous! We are returning again to enjoy their homemade meals, locally owned!
P. S. The coleslaw is so good, we ordered a container to take home with us, you will love it, freshly made!
Really good food including their desserts. Not a fancy atmosphere but you can come as casual as you want. Definitely need more help but who doesn't these days.
This is a *AWESOME* Italian Restaurant! The Food Was *AMAZING*! It's A *WONDERFUL*, Family-Owned Business, In Westfield, NY! The Inside Is So *WARM* and *INVITING*, I Almost Felt Like I Was In Italy!
So. If You Are Going Through {Or Close By! } Westfield, NY. Stop On By And Have A *LOVELY* Meal! You'll Be So Glad You Did!
The coleslaw was like OMG awesome! Service is kind of in limbo but it was busy and it really took a while to get our fooooood
If you like traditional homemade Italian food then this is a definite destination for you. The sauces made right there in the kitchen from an age-old recipe. This by far my favorite Italian restaurant. All the traditional American food is good too. They serve a Cuban sandwich at lunch time that is one of the best I've ever had. The restaurant is cozy and the staff is always willing to go the extra mile to provide excellent service. If you're in the area you have to visit.
Although I would normally give you 5 stars because I have always enjoyed your dinners. Tonight we ordered out. Hubby got the usual spaghetti and meatballs. I thought I would try something different tonight, so I ordered what I thought was an antipasto salad. It was listed with the salads but was no where near a salad. It had maybe 3 pieces of lettuce topped with a huge amount of meat and cheese and probably the biggest olives I have ever seen, and so many. It is very misleading to have this listed as a salad and I really didn't enjoy this at all. I don't know many people who can eat a whole dish of just meat and cheese and olives. Sorry for the rant, but please move this item away from the salad section on your menu.
Nice place and attentive staff! Happy Hour is 4 to 6 p.m. So stop in for a quaint small town atmosphere along with some tasty Italian food!
The food is always real Italian and real good. Your are met and greated by staff and quickly severed. A regular on my list of go to places.
Not always great but never bad. Its solid home styled italian. Drinks are cold, good prices and if you have a flair for converstaions then stop in the bar
I headed here with my teenage kiddo on a Monday night figuring it wouldn't be too busy. It wasn't exactly busy but there seemed to be only one waitress and we waited a long time for just about everything. I got their meatball float, which I just LOVED. I loved the flavor of the sauce and the size, texture and flavor of the meatballs. The bread that came with it was perfectly crispy and chewy. My son didn't like his Chicken Alfredo at all. I had a bite and it had a strong taste that may have been wine? Not sure. I didn't care for it either. We waited quite a while for the waitress to ever come back to give us the bill. When she asked if we needed a box we told her neither of us liked it. She offered to bring him something else but by then all we wanted was to leave.
The food is reasonable and the price is right. We will eat there again. We really enjoyed the wing dings and the calamari.
After attending an event, my Sister suggested that we eat at Calarco's.
She had been there before.
She said "I always order lasagna".
She did again.
I ordered the Italian sample plate, added an Italian sausage.
It was fantastic. The red sauce is decadent. 2 thumbs up from me.
Pizza was average at best. Not much flavor! Hint, try putting some
garlic on it. BTW, update the pricing on your posted menu. I paid 5$ more then expected. Can't blame the pandemic. That's just ownership laziness. I will not buy another pizza from here again.
Went to this restaurant for the first time on June 13th and ordered the ziti. It was awesome! I was visiting the area and was glad to visit this great Italian restaurant. Awesome sauce! Loved it!
Spaghetti with a giant meatball- OH so good! Wish they hadn't been out of mushrooms but I was so full it was probably good. Hubby got lasagne, top 3 he has ever had. Sauce is on the sweet side but so good!
Waited a long time to get food. They ran out of one thing and choose to substitute without asking us. Calamari looked like it was from the bottom of the bag and rubbery. Waitresses did the best they could for only being 2 of them.
