Callen-Lorde Bronx

My review is information a close friend of over a decade shared with me which upset me to my core pertaining this location. My friend enrolled here last week and was excited claiming it was a pleasant experience per our phone call over the weekend. But today I met with her and she shared a concerning account saying she was forced to repeat vital bloodwork yesterday that she had already given last week but somehow her results were not in their (Callen Lourde) system which is concerning. She showed me her bruised arm where someone by the name of Stephanie had drawn blood from the very same bruised vain against her protest. She added that out of nerves and fear for needles she shared with Stephanie how inconvenient it was for her to walk in this unbearable heat being heat intolerant due to her advanced medical condition she had been dealing with this diagnosis since 2009 in which Stephanie commented asking her “if she had to take special pills or a cocktail because it was so long ago” making my friend feel uncomfortable with ageism and before the needle was out of her arm she purposely turned the needle while looking for a bandage hurting her arm further and pretending it wasn’t a big deal. Afterwards my friend reluctantly asked her for pantry recommendations and received a few but without needed information such as website or full address with one just being a picture of a church. When my friend asked Stephanie if she could please provide the needed information she said Stephanie snapped telling her “she needed to do some of the work and google for information (yourself) herself” adding she too (Stephanie) was in the same boat (financially) dismissing her food information inquiry. Let me say that this Callen Lourde employee needs better training or shouldn’t be employed here or any other medical office since she has zero knowledge on how to interact with patients. Patients are sick health wise and expect decent care not be forced to walk in deadly summer heat to redo bloodwork because their clinic or their clinic’s 3rd party aren’t professional. Secondly not everyone has internet and it’s humiliating enough to be an open book to rude employees let alone begging for help finding food shame on this employee! I hope administration reads this because it’s unacceptable behavior and shouldn’t be happening. I advised my friend to file a complaint and sadly she answered that she was too busy trying to stay alive dealing with her health condition and worried what she’d eat next she had no time for anything else. SHAME ON YOU CSLLEN LOURDE for allowing this to occur! So BE WARE

I've been with Callen-Lorde Manhattan for over 15 years and have has almost uniformly great service. Now my partner and his son are registered at the Bronx office: my stepson has diabetes and has had a terrible time consolidating supply providers. CLB has been responsive and incredibly helpful with this. So I am very satisfied.

The service provided is exceptionally thorough. My doctor and nurses are excellent, and I've never felt healthier with the support of this team.

Best clinic ever. Steve Weiss is my doctor, he is the sweetest and kindest person I've ever met. Also they are so attentive and call you back for everything.

Nice space, good front desk, good doctors, wear a mask, quiet, no drama, very helpful people that work there

DO NOT! GO HERE PLEASE THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!

I wouldn't recommend you even take your imaginary friend there to get healthcare services Because fred will drop dead The doctors are in and out the room before you can even blink or get into anytjing That's going on with you They say the only have 15 minutes to meet with each patient that is ridiculous I've had So many doctors quit and no one reaches out to tell me Which means I have to wait months before. I can see a new doctor and continue my medication They take forever getting referrals together And I mean months to years They don't really seem to be that concerned With your health the doctors or Should I say nurse practitioners don't really listen to a word You're saying only base everything on how you look if you're able to communicate well And they will write that in their notes that you came in Presenting & communicating just fine so they don't think you're in any distress I've been going there for years Trying to figure out what is making me sick And they couldn't find out a thing But yet I go to a different doctor a dermatologist at that and she finds out in a couple of days one of the things that have been making me so sick that could have killed me if it didn't get caught in time but they couldn't fugue this out in the years I been going to them they wouldn't share one of my Test results with me or put it in my chart it took me over a year of going back-and-forth with them to get half the results bag to the point where I just went back to the place where I got the test done at and got the full report from them I have never in my life been to a place that is so Ridiculously unprofessional seems like they want to keep you more sick than to actually get you healthy I have to download my own test results and Google Them to find out what means what Because they won't go over them with me They won't even mention some of the things that they absolutely should have brought to my attention They say they don't know what's wrong with me. But then they're constantly give me different medications to try as if I'm a Guinea pig come to find out the medications are so Harsh That they've been messing with my Oregon's and I see in one of the that they forgot to mention to me That there were signs of something damaging my organs I dont understand How this place is even still open for business One of the worst decisions i've ever made was to switch my healthcare over to this place I would not suggest that you go here unless you absolutely do not care about your health There are so many other horror stories that I could tell you that I've had regarding this place And it's crazy because I live right across the street So you think it would be very convenient NO! Absolutely the worst decision I've ever made.

Good clean clinic, great staff and lovely environment. Fast and easy appointments and fun loving pc doctors that gives fast results from your examinations. Overall the best clinic in the bronx area.

The best place to go and create an amazing support system when needed the people there is just over the top amazing

I LOVE Callen Lorde Bronx. VERY down to earth staff, amazing primary care doctor, fast service and they even deliver prescriptions. 10 out of 10!
